Kate and David were great. Our 2 dogs seemed to love their time on the farm. We received some great pictures showing us the fun and cuddle time they were having during their stay. We'll definitely use them again in the future.

Kate has looked after our dog on a number of occasions. She and her partner welcomed Zola as a member of the family. Kate is knowledgeable and shows an obvious love of animals. Life on the farm is heaven for active pets and Zola was always happy to return.

Information Kate & David G. would like to know about your pet

To ensure we provide the most attentive and personalized care for your furry family members, we kindly ask for the following information about your pets ahead of time: Behavioral Traits: Understanding your pet's personality, quirks, and any specific behavioral traits helps us tailor our care approach. This includes how they interact with other animals, their response to strangers, and any triggers that may cause anxiety or stress. Medical Needs: Detailed information about any health issues, allergies, medications, and dietary restrictions is essential. This allows us to maintain their health regimen and respond effectively in case of an emergency. Routine and Schedule: Knowledge of your pet's daily routine, including feeding times, favorite activities, and exercise schedule, helps us maintain a sense of normalcy for them. This is especially important for pets that thrive on routine. Training and Commands: Information on the commands your pet knows and any ongoing training routines will enable us to provide consistent reinforcement and keep them engaged and well-behaved. Favorite Toys and Activities: Knowing what toys and activities your pet loves most allows us to ensure they have a fun and enriching experience while in our care. Special Preferences: Every pet has their unique likes and dislikes, whether it's a preferred type of treat, a favorite spot for scratches, or aversions to certain situations. This information helps us cater to their individual preferences and avoid any discomfort. Emergency Contacts and Veterinary Information: Having a list of emergency contacts, including your veterinarian's details, ensures we can swiftly manage any situation that may arise.

A typical day

When caring for your furry family members, we believe in creating a fun, stimulating, and safe environment that caters to their physical and mental well-being. Here are some of the activities we love to do with the pets we watch: Interactive Games: We incorporate a variety of interactive games such as hide-and-seek, fetch, and tug-of-war, which not only provide physical exercise but also strengthen our bond and enhance their problem-solving skills. Trail Adventures: For those high-energy dogs, like the working breeds we have extensive experience with, we enjoy taking them on trail walks or hikes. This not only provides them with the exercise they need but also stimulates their senses with new sights, sounds, and smells. Agility and Obstacle Courses: Setting up simple agility or obstacle courses in the yard is a fantastic way to provide both mental and physical stimulation. It’s not only a fun challenge but also a great way to practice and reinforce their training in a playful manner. Puzzle Toys and Enrichment Activities: We use puzzle toys and other enrichment activities to keep their minds engaged. These tools are excellent for days when we’re indoors, ensuring that they’re receiving mental stimulation that keeps them content and happy. Customized Playtime: Recognizing that each dog has its unique preferences, we tailor playtime activities to suit their individual likes and energy levels. Whether it's a calm session of gentle play for senior dogs or high-energy games for puppies and active breeds, we ensure each pet receives the attention and activity that's just right for them. Socialization and Playdates: With your permission and where appropriate, we organize playdates with other friendly dogs. This social interaction is crucial for their emotional health and helps in developing good social skills. Our goal is to ensure that every pet in our care enjoys a variety of fun activities that not only keep them physically fit but also happy and mentally stimulated. We look forward to creating memorable experiences with your beloved pets!

We work from home so are able to provide plenty of love and attention. As farmers, we spend plenty of time outdoors in the spring and summer. Your pup can join us outside if they have good recall or are okay being tied up outside. Otherwise they'll go out for leashed walks and potty breaks around breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bedtime.
