My love of dogs has taken me so many places! For over a decade, I worked as a guide dog instructor at an internationally recognized guide dog school, learning and putting into practice everything about dog behavior, training, and the human-animal bond. That time is long past, but I still just love dogs: their personalities, their quirks, and their people. I'm experienced with pups to seniors, the tiny to the giant, the healthy to the ailing. I try to help each dog feel comfortable and happy, and help their people feel the same way. 😊 I also have experience with cats, horses, goats, and chickens.

Kate was super responsive and accommodating! She cared for our pup while we were skiing at Stratton, traveling to us in less-than-ideal weather. Despite the weather keeping them from big outdoor adventures, our dog seemed to have a great time hanging out with Kate and we felt she was in good hands.
Kate was the absolute best! Our dog had so much fun with her and when we came back from skiing he was exhausted! She was thoughtful, responsive, and incredibly trustworthy. 100% recommend.

Can not say enough about how incredible Kate is. She sent texts with messages and pictures filling mei. On all that my cat was doing so I felt confident and relaxed knowing that she was ok and being very well cared for. So grateful for her service and care .

Schedule
I work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, so from Thursday night through Tuesday morning, dogs have a lot of human company all day long. Mid-week (Tues, Wed, Thurs), dogs are exercised in the morning, spend the work day relaxing at home, and the human fun begins again the evening.

In my home: I have a large unfenced yard; boarding dogs are on leash or long line with me to exercise outdoors. In your home: I'm not your cheapest or most straightforward option. I do have a dog of my own (can be accommodated elsewhere temporarily) and sometimes teenagers. But I'm a great match for particular circumstances, including most often: * people with pets that need experienced management * folks whose pets have special medical or behavioral needs * those seeking high-quality puppy care * anyone with a strong preference for a work-from-home, impeccably reliable professional adult.
Pets
A typical day
I have lots of ways to help dogs have fun and tire out their brains and bodies. From puzzle toys and Kongs, to playing ball and fetch, to smelling all the smells in my huge yard and woods... we have fun for every taste. Dogs who like hiking will get a kick out of the nearby trails with me and my dog. Then of course it's snuggle time, with me or my teenage, animal-loving children.
