Hi! My name is Kate and I recently graduated from the University of South Carolina and have relocated to Venice, FL! I’ve grown up with a dog in my family my entire life and have a huge passion and love for animals. I have been taking care of many of my neighbors‘ dogs since I was 8 years old, doing both walks and drop in visits for dogs of all sizes and ages. I currently have a 14 year old miniature dachshund named Phoebe that I have taken care of since we got her. This past summer (2022) I also had the privilege of working as a veterinary assistant at an animal hospital! I gained a lot of experience through this opportunity, especially regarding animal care, handling, and overall health. I am very flexible, responsible, and adaptive to you and your pets needs and requests and I cannot wait to meet more dogs that I can love like my own, and help their owners care for them!

Walking a dog is the easiest part of taking care of a dog. I say this because Kate immediately forms a trust & relationship and gives her utmost attention to the dog, knowing they all have their own special personality. She is kind, caring and respectful, which is so important knowing your dog is in good hands. My flat coat retriever wags her tail when I drop her off and has lots of exercise with her. It is a good feeling when you do not have to worry about your pet. She will send pictures and the yard is fenced in if needed. I highly recommend her and would not leave my dog with anyone else.

With my own dog, we love to go on long walks (well, as long as she wants since she does have small legs!), and cuddle on the couch! I am used to doing anything and everything to make your pet comfortable, and I am very experienced with drop-in visits as well! I used to take care of two dogs for my neighbors when they went away for a week. They loved to play and run around in the yard, and by the time we went inside, they were ready for a nap until I returned!
