Update: 5/5/2024 I just moved to Pineville LA and am open to new clients. I am off work til 5/28/2024 and starting then I will work from home M-Fri 8am-4:30pm Update: 3/20/2024 I unfortunately will no longer be doing drop ins and/or overnight stays for felines (kittens or adult cats) Aloha! I moved to CenLa in May of 2024 with my husband and American Cocker Spaniel. I was a veterinary technician in Utah for years but now will be working at home for the animal hospital I worked for. I have experience working with a wide range of pet behaviors from friendly fellas to nervous nellies. I have experience bathing, walking and administering medications (oral and injectable). I also have experience with pet first aid and cpr. As a pet parent I understand how stressful finding reliable pet care can be and I’m here to help you through a difficult situation at a reasonable price. Unfortunately I will be unable to stay with your pets 24/7 however, your pets will not be alone longer than 6-8 hours, please see "Schedule" section for more details. Note: I will not bring my dog to any House Sitting stays (she will be at home with my husband while I watch your pet(s) )

Katara was extremely communicative in addition to very patient and kind with our cat who gets anxiety around new people. I felt very comfortable leaving my cat, Maxine, in Katara’s capable hands. Would 100% use again if she wasn’t leaving the state!
Katara is amazing with my ol' guy! She always takes the best care of my kit when I go out of town. He just loves her!
Katara-Riana was responsive prior to and during her stay at the house. My girls were well taken care of and she was very caring and kind to them. They had a lot of lounging pics and look like they had a good time!
So grateful for Katara's amazing care of my cat, Bernie!

You do not need to stress while your pet is in my care. My guarantee to you is that I will not let your pet out of my sight on walks or while at the park (for safety I do not take any dogs to dog parks) and will have my cell phone on me at all times while your pet is in my care. I will never watch or walk more than one pet at a time unless they are from the same household. I will not watch more than 2 dogs at a time. I always require your primary veterinarian offices contact information and atleast one emergency contact. Your pet and I will never go on a “field-trip” without your permission and knowledge of where we are headed and when you should anticipate our return.

It is important to know what special needs your family member may have so that I can be best prepared to assist them. Examples of important things to know include (but are not limited to): Is your pet reactive to other animals? Is your pet on any medications? Does your pet have mobility issues? Does your pet have allergies? Also I require at least one emergency contact and the information for your primary veterinarian. House Requirements - While house sitting I require a safe & clean space to sleep, disclosure of cameras in the home (for my safety) and a designated parking space (not street parking or paid parking). If you are unable to provide these I will unfortunately decline any booking requests. Thank you for understanding.
A typical day
Your pet will not be bored while were together! Every pet is different and needs different levels of stimulation. If you have a high energy dogs I'm open to taking them to the park or on a long walk. We could play fetch or frisbee for hours. If you have a senior dog that just enjoys company and has mobility issues we can just go for a slow walk, or even a car ride with the windows down, or a snuggle on the sofa. (Note: I do not take any pet even well behaved ones to dog parks. Unfortunately you cannot trust other dogs)
