Pet care experience
I grew up caring for a rambunctious cairn terrier (think Toto from "The Wizard of Oz.") We had many good long walks together, even as I entered college and he entered his twilight years. Once I was on my own and established, I rescued a 4-year-old lab mix and saw her through her old age as well. Now I'm super-excited about my new addition, Roxie. She's a senior dog who needed a new home when her family became unable to care for her. We became fast friends and she is getting more healthy and confident every day!

We are very happy with Kat's care. She arrived when expected, did everything and then some that we asked, lured our cat from hiding for some love, and gave us great peace of mind. We will definitely use Kat again!
Nani had a wonderful time with Kat! Kat has a nice, clean and cozy place. Nani definitely made herself comfortable and at home. She sent a short message with 1-2 pictures a day to update me on how Nani is doing. I liked that she brought Nani out for walks in different places. She was accommodating and I appreciated it as my flight home was delayed and she waited up for us after our agreed pick up time. Would definitely book with Kat again. Thanks again Kat!
We’ve had Kat board Cocoa multiple times, and she’s done a great job each time! She’s easy to communicate with about care, drop off/pick up times, and she always sends us daily updates of Cocoa. Cocoa is always happy when we pick her up! Thank you so much, Kat!

I live on an 18-acre property with forest on 3 sides. I have a great yard for playing fetch, and live close to an even larger field at Sunrise Ridge. My house has a dog door that leads outside to a fenced-in porch.

All breeds are welcome! As a dog-owner, I'm pretty relaxed about shedding, dirt, and manageable messes. If accidents or excessive chewing are known issues, I'd like to know about those in advance.
A typical day
My dog is still learning how to return a ball after she's gained interest in it, but we play our own version of "fetch" in my yard. Sometimes we walk around larger fields nearby (Sunrise Ridge, Vashon High, etc).

I work from home and my schedule is pretty flexible. My dog is accustomed to using the dog door when she needs to go outside, but we also hang out in the yard together and take walks.
