Pet care experience
I’ve been a dog lover for my entire life. I grew up with several dogs and currently have one of my own, a 30lb deaf terrier mix named Arctic. One of my dogs had severe skin allergies so I’m comfortable getting dogs to take pills. High-energy or couch potato, I love every dog and am always beyond excited to interact with them. My dog is smaller (20-30 lbs) but I grew up with larger (>100 lbs) dogs when I was younger, so I have experience with dogs of all sizes. I also had cats and have experience watching them and giving them lots of head/butt scratches. My husband and I are both allergic, so we don’t have a kitty of our own, but I love getting to spend time with them through Rover instead.

Kat cared for our sensitive and sometimes fearful/reactive pittie for the first time 04/2023 shortly after we had moved to Albuquerque. We had a few stressful challenges on our trip and I was a bit overwhelmed; Kat was so patient, kind and easy to Communicate with. When we met up at the park in December our dog recognized her before she even got out of her car and started pulling to get to her, he just adores her!

Kat was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! She took excellent car of all of our fur babies while we were gone. She kept me informed with detailed notes and provided photos each check in which made me feel so much better. I would highly recommend Kat 10000000% over! Thank you Kat!

While we don’t have a fenced-yard, we do have a dog park at our apartment complex and live close to a park. We also have a 30lb dog that loves playing with dogs of all sizes—his best friend at our old regular dog park was a Saint Bernard.

A typical day
I love playing fetch and tug-of-war with dogs! I also love going on walks to the park, especially if there are fenced areas for the dog to run around.

Availability
I work full-time M-F with flexibility to set my own schedule and work remotely when needed. My husband works an opposite schedule (nights and weekends) so we always have someone around.
