I’ve been walking dogs since begging my parents for a big-eyed collie mix at age 9. With the promise to walk him every day hanging on the contingency of bringing him home, I walked him come rain, shine, or snow - even during some particularly frigid Wisconsin winters. Since then I’ve walked dogs and dogsat on a variety of occasions - working with all sizes and ages - often caring for multiple dogs at once. I volunteered with the Arizona Animal Welfare League where I worked with dogs who were in the high-stress environment of a shelter, and also went through a variety of courses covering things like harness use, spotting and descalating aggression/anxiety in dogs, and leash manners. When I’m not caring for dogs, I’m a professional freelance musician. I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world making music and believe those experiences have given me a unique sense of awareness and responsibility.
