Pet care experience
I have taken care of my own personal dogs for most of my life. I petsit for friends and have fostered from 2mo to 10 years of age. When watching your best friend I will not have a foster (I still foster from time to time, who can resist those puppy eyes?). I have a 4yo german shepard mix who has been around the fosters, he is very patient and good with gentle corrections. My yard is not fenced in however we live in a very quite neighborhood with lots of options for frequent walks on leash. I am very used to special needs, especially when it comes to giving medication and am comfortable doing so. On weekends Roscoe, my husband and myself enjoy going for hikes and would love your best friend to come along! I am willing to transport but the dog must be wearing a harness and be able to be secure in the car (I have an attachment for the seatbelt for your pup). I have a medium sized crate and several dog beds that your pup is welcome to. My furniture is your dogs furniture to sleep on if that is okay with you. I do have a very dog savvy cat who can be kept separate if needed. Roscoe and I would love to meet and care for your pup!

Kat has dog sat for our pup multiple times over the last few years! She takes him in as one of her own and always continues with any training we might be working on. We know she has fostered many dogs, has volunteered at shelters, and is very comfortable with all breeds. When we need to go somewhere for a longer stay, Kat is always willing to help out and give us some peace of mind.

I have one super friendly dog and cat. The cat has his own separate space if needed. I have an extra dog bed that I wash after each dog guest as well as a medium sized crate. Our house is spacious with plenty of room for your pup to stretch their legs or spread out on the couch. We have a laundry room that the crate can go into if your pup needs a little extra quit. I try to provide enrichment throughout the day in the form of short training sessions, chews such as kongs and other frozen goodies, as well as frequent walks. Safety and the wellbeing of your pup is very important to me. Any chews given will be under supervision and approved by you before their stay. All animals are fed separately as a precaution.

A typical day
We will be do several walks and on the weekends long hikes if that is appropriate for your pup. If your pup is older we can go for a meander, my husband is not very fast anyways. My animals are fed twice a day but extra feedings can be accommodated.

Availability
My husband works from home full time and I am currently waiting to take my test for Clinical Social Work. We have 2 acres of land and live on a dead end so our dog and yours will get plenty of outside time. If your pup is not off leashed trained we will provide many walks. We do have something that can go into the ground as well as long as your are okay with this, if they are on a line they will be supervised (I will most likely be gardening).
