Adventure Pups Seeking Pals

Pet care experience

I would like to only take 2 at a time to ensure your baby gets the attention he/she is used to at home. I’m doing this because my husband won’t let me adopt any more pups. Hah! Dogs and cats fascinate me. Growing up I've had both and have observed their behavior all my life. I like to think I’m very in tune with their needs and personalities. I’ve dog sat for friends before and invite other pups in as if they’re my own baby. Lucy and Kiedis have been to obedience training and are very well behaved. I keep a very watchful eye and am always aware where the pups are and how they're interacting with each other. We have experience administering medication and caring for senior dogs and cats. When I introduce new animals into my house, I use a technique that ensures they’re safe, comfortable, and feel loved and that my pups know he/she is a new member of the pack and should be treated as such. I’m the alpha momma, who also gives great scratches and organic treats. :) Only the best for your fur babies, as if they’re my own.

Kat was easy to work with, communicated daily and sent photos. We really appreciated her hanging with our fur baby. Will definitely hire her again if needed.

I have a large fenced yard for running, playing and exploring. The pups and I take daily walks and they keep me company when I work in the garden. They love to roll around in the leaves and grass. There are no dangerous or poisonous plants. We DO NOT use pesticides, so your fur baby will be safe from chemicals. Kiedis loves playing fetch daily. Lucy will show your baby all the best sunning spots. My husband helps let them in and out as well as administering medications. We frequent Bluff Creek Park for hiking on weekends. We enjoy walking in the beautiful Nichols Hills neighborhood and admire the sights. Lucy and Kiedis love playmates. Lucy especially loves smaller dogs (she's used to having a smaller cat brother). They grew up together as pups and are very passive but playful, sweet and obedient. They’re cuddle monsters. My cat, Jax, is your typical cat who likes his independence, but loves a good sniff from the pups and napping together on their beds. If you’re concerned about table scraps (because I would for my babies): I personally don't feed my babies table scraps but they will occasionally get a piece of raw carrot or some other uncooked dog safe veggie. I wouldn’t treat your baby any different from mine.

Information Kat D. would like to know about your pet

Dogs & cats must have all up to date vaccinations, rabies shot, and currently on flea/tick prevention. Please no dogs with separation anxiety, constant barking, or escape artists. Dogs must be non-aggressive with cats. Please inform of diet restrictions, medications, previous/existing injuries and health conditions. Please inform any obedience cues your pup understands. Let me know any definite behavioral no no’s to avoid. I don’t want to undo any training you’ve invested into your baby. I like to keep things consistent for them. All breeds welcome. Since we don’t offer bathing/grooming, please ensure your baby doesn’t feel embarrassed being around other bathed and well groomed dogs.

Your baby would enjoy garden walks in our large fenced in yard, sunning, running through leaves, and exploring in a PESTICIDE FREE yard. We love nature and are outside as much as the weather permits. Walks are around the beautiful and safe Nichols Hills neighborhood. We often go hiking at Bluff Creek Park. Playing fetch is a must and so are belly rubs!

I currently work part time as a yoga teacher and running my small wellness business from home, so I'm very flexible. I have no interest in running a pet boarding business, but tremendous interest in doggy snuggles, happy wagging tails, and playmates for my Lucy & Kiedis. (After 6 years they’re getting bored with each other.) I’ll only care for 2 dogs at a time in my home so your babies feel happy & comfortable. I teach 1-2 classes per day, spread throughout the day so I'm only gone for 2-3 hours at a time. I can provide a crate & cover if your pup needs to be crated. Most weekends are free unless I'm out of town exploring with my adventure pups. I'm available for one day and short term day care, but not looking for long term right now.
