Dog Trainer & Pet Lover!

Pet care experience

**Previous clients who we have not talked to yet - we moved from Bloomington to Greenwood and aren’t doing Rover publicly anymore due to a change in jobs. We can still take old clients based on our availability and if you’re driving north and want to drop them off!!” Over the past year, we've gained tons of experience through pet sitting on Rover. I, (Kassidy) grew up owning cats and a small dog. I worked part-time as a dog trainer for a year, so I gained lots of experience with different dogs and different behaviors. A couple of years ago, I adopted my hound mix, Jango. He’s struggled with anxiety and frustration-based reactivity so I have extra experience with dogs in those categories and understand how difficult it can be. If your dog has some training regimen you’d like to follow, we’d be happy to oblige! I’ve also fostered under-socialized puppies through a local rescue so I have experience with puppies as well.

They are fantastic! Took great care of our fur baby. Such a relief to have a safe and fun place to leave her.

This was my first booking with Rover and Kassidy and Kyle were perfect. My puppy had a great time and I loved getting pictures of him having fun. Definitely will book with them again.

Kassidy & Kyle were excellent dog-sitters during our weekend trip. They sent multiple updates/pictures per day and made sure Benny felt right at home. Benny was able to play with their two dogs and one cat which made his experience a lot better. Highly recommend!

My dog loves staying with Kassidy and Kyle! When we pull into their driveway she gets super excited and whenever I pick her up she pulls back towards the door and is reluctant to leave. I do not easily trust people with my dog but these two and their own dogs are the best! Do not hesitate to book with them.

Safety, trust & environment

We live in a home with a fenced-in yard. We have two dogs (3-year-old hound mix and poodle mix) who love other dogs. They love to play but also understand other dogs’ boundaries. They’re okay with dogs of all sizes. We supervise all play, regardless. We also have a very dog-savvy cat, Phoebe, who can be separated for shorter stays if need be! We have two large crates available for use (sleep, downtime, etc.). We have plenty of toys/activities for your dog (or cat) to have all the fun! All animals will be separated for meals. We require meet & greets for boarding and daycare services so we can make sure all the pets get along. These are also for you so that you can meet us and ask us questions for peace of mind before trusting us with your babies! We can make exceptions on this requirement for out-of-town daycare guests. We recommend meet & greets for drop ins, but they are not required. For senior pups, they don’t have to worry about climbing up and down stairs since our house is one story. We’ve watched multiple older dogs, and even though our dogs are younger they are very aware if a dog is too old to play. They’re perfectly fine just taking naps with them, but our cat Phoebe especially appreciates our senior guests so she can cuddle up next to them! We only take up to 2 dogs (or cats) a day so that we can provide more personalized care for your pet. We understand how important your fur babies are to you, so we’ll treat them like one of our own :) **We charge an additional $5 for drop-off before 6 am and for pickup later than 9 pm, as well as for daycare lasting over 11 hours. If you’re a healthcare worker with 12 hr shifts we’ll waive this second extra fee! Thank you!**

Let us know ahead of time if your dog has any behaviors/needs we need to be aware of/accommodate. All dogs are different so we like to be prepared but some behaviors may not be compatible with our pets. We'd greatly prefer dogs to be crate trained so that if we do have to leave, we can be assured they will be safe and secure! Since we work from home, it’s also very useful to crate dogs while we’re in meetings so they don’t get into anything.

A typical day

We have two high energy dogs so your dog(s) can join the fun! Lower energy dogs are also welcome to come and relax on the couch or dog beds. We’ll go on walks and have some backyard playtime. We also have plenty of toys and puzzle games to play. Weather allowing on weekends, we can also possibly go on a hike at some nearby trails! We live between Switchyard & Bryan Park, so plenty of sniff opportunities there as well :)

Availability

We currently work a hybrid work schedule. We do not offer daycare Tuesday-Thursday anymore, as our schedule is not reliable enough those days (both of us may be in office depending by the week). We can still board dogs those days; they will just have to be okay with being crated for four-hour increments in between walks. We will walk the dogs in the morning before work, at lunch, and after lunch. We will offer a discounted boarding rate on those days since we will not be home all day. Since we do work from home some days, if we have dogs for daycare/boarding during that time we’d prefer they don’t need our constant attention (i.e. demand barking, destructive behaviors, etc.).
