Pet care experience
I have six years experience with my own high-energy, high-anxiety, Min-Pin. My own dog is a certified escape artist. If there is a way to escape he will find it, and he will attempt it. This is great news for you and your dog because I am incredibly vigilant around/with doors, fences, gates, collars, harness, anything else a dog could used to escape. All this is transferable experience for any dog. Whether your pup is laid-back or more like mine, we'll have a great time. I have experience with oral-medication (I only need to know what your pups fav food is!). During the summer I have pretty open availability Sunday-Wednesday for walks, drop-ins and home-stays. Thursday days I'm free for walks, and drop ins. Currently I only work on weekends so that means Sunday-Wednesday I can virtually stay with your pup(s) all the time! If you're comfortable with me bringing along my (fixed) Min-Pin for walks let me know! No pressure at all if not. I love cats and dogs! I have experience at home with three cats so I don't mind if you need someone to care for them as well!

Kassandra is so great with her dog Berkeley! She is super patient with teaching him and calming him down when he has separation anxiety. She takes him for frequent walks to help him burn off some steam and she is very loving and caring with him. She also has three cats and is very gentle and caring with them as well. She is very adamant at having her cats follow an eating routine and making sure she plays with them so they get enough exercise so they stay the proper weight. She is really great with her animals and is an amazing dog and cat owner!

I would love for you to describe to me your dog! Tell me about what you love about them, and maybe a quirk or two. Tell me about any behavioural issues upfront. These frequently will not be deal breakers, I just prefer to know before I am left alone with your dog. It gives me a chance to prepare if needed!
A typical day
We'll go for walks around your neighbourhood, through parks, or anywhere you recommend. If you have no preference I love walking down by the river through Gabriel Dumont park, or walking trails through several of Saskatoon's neighbourhoods. Until your dog and I get a chance to meet and see how he or she responds to my commands I would prefer not to do any off-leash dog parks. This can always be reconsidered down the road if I become a regular dog walker for your dog. Any games your dog likes to play I would love to learn and play with them! I love cuddling! If your dog is the opposite of high-energy and just wants to sleep and cuddle all day that is fine with me.
