I live in the lovely leafy town of Hitchin with my husband and 2 kids aged 13 and 15 and we love having dogs come to stay with us. We enjoy good long walks and plenty of cuddles with all the dogs that stay at our home. We have recently adopted Lucy, a loveable and friendly young cockapoo. A meeting with your dog/s and Lucy would be advisable before confirming a booking with us just to make sure they will enjoy a relaxing holiday with us. I take one booking at a time and am happy to have more than one dog from the same family home or with dogs that are already familiar with each other. For first time bookings, a meeting at my home and/or in the local field will be necessary before confirming. For longer first stays your dog is welcome to arrange a few hours to stay or even book in for an overnight stay to get them used to us and our home. My main availability for dog day care and boarding is at the weekends and school holidays, half terms and bank holidays. See my calendar or contact me to check if I'm free when you need me. I love going for walks with the dogs and we are really lucky to have an amazing nature reserve just 10 minutes away. Closer to home we have another large green space which is used by a really lovely community of dog owners. Dogs can get some good exercise walking round with me, playing catch or have some social time with the neighbouring dogs. If you prefer not to let your dog off the lead nor run around in open spaces for whatever reason then just let me know. At home we live calmly and peacefully with lots of time for snuggles and chilling out. Our garden is a fair size and completely secure and safe and all dogs are welcome to use the space for sniffing around, basking in the sunshine or chilling in the shady spots on hotter days. We have space indoors to play games and provide plenty of stimulation to keep your dog active. We are a health conscious family and only give food to dogs in our care provided by the owner. In 2019 I completed my Dog First Aid and Emergency Canine Care course and have been awarded a 4 Star Dog Boarding Licence from our local authority. We are very flexible with timings and as much as we can we would accommodate for unexpected changes of plans.
