Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Kasey! I've had dogs most of my life, and currently have two dogs and three guinea pigs. In the past, I kept fish, a pair of frogs, and even insects and spiders. Though I haven't had the opportunity to live with a great variety of animals, I've often taken care of other people's pets when they are away--dogs, hamsters, cats, guinea pigs, fish, and geckos. Additionally, I have experience giving oral medication to senior dogs and providing exercise while being mindful of limitations for dogs with arthritis. I have a service dog-in-training that I am currently training who is still a puppy. I'll do my best to attend to your pet's specific needs! When opportunities open up again, I look forward to volunteering at the local animal shelter and hope to start a hospice program for elderly shelter animals one day so they can live out the rest of their days with peace and affection.

Kasey took care of our blind elderly dog with medical problems while we were on a trip, she made sure to give him his daily walk and lots of love. She also cared for my crested gecko and our pond of eight goldfish. She is very responsible, hard working and reliable and I would definitely trust her to care for our pets again.
I would entrust any of my pets to Kasey's care! Over the years she has watched every variety of animal under the sun for our family and is exceptional every time! She's easy to communicate with, detail oriented, attentive, on time, observant, and always goes above and beyond. I'd trust her with any of my pets. Kasey grew up surrounded by different animals - our own (dogs, frogs, fish, Guinea pigs, and even pets like grasshoppers, spiders, butterflies), our grandparents’ (cats), and our friends’ (dogs, cats, hamsters, lizards, fish, hedgehog, Guinea pigs). Since early age she loved caring for our pets and constantly borrowed books from the library to learn more about the different types of animals, training and caring for them. Going to a summer horse camp was a way to get hands on experience in caring and learning more about horses. Kasey is responsible with our pets, caring for their immediate needs (food and water, cleaning and bathing, grooming, walking and playing). She is very detail oriented and observant. When our pets are not feeling well, she is the first to notice and research what might be the problem, or call our vet. At the moment she is training our newest furry member of the family. Kasey is reliable, caring and easy to work with. Her love for animals and genuine interest in their wellbeing make her a great pet caretaker/sitter for anyone that might be lucky to have her.
Kasey did a fabulous job taking care of my blind dog while I was on a summer trip in 2022. She is hard-working, patient, and gentle with animals. Her genuine love for pets shows clearly in her work. I would highly recommend hiring her to take of your pets!

A typical day
Depending on your pet's preferences and energy level, I can play with your pet inside or in play fetch in the yard. For walks, I will walk in the nearby neighborhood, or go to a trail or park if there is one nearby. I can also work on some positive reinforcement training.

Availability
I'm working a part-time job that currently offers very few hours, so I'm available for much of the week. Fri-Sun for house sitting, Mon-Thurs for dog walking and drop-in visits. I will update my availability for every three weeks my work schedule changes!
