Pet care experience
I’ve lived with dogs, of all ages, my whole life! I’ve developed a deep care for animals and also a unique understanding of all kinds of dogs, from energetic to shy to challenging. I’ve gone through professional training with my own dog and have picked up a lot of valuable knowledge along the way. I’ve been a trusted pet/house sitter and dog walker for numerous friends, colleagues, and acquaintances over the years. I’ve cared for a variety of dogs - Bernese, Doodles, Labs, Pits, Mutts, Aussies, Frenchies, you name it! My goal is to make the animals I care for feel comfortable, respected, and of course to have fun :)

Karyn is a remarkable caregiver for all furry friends! She is so loving and playful with all animals, making them feel comfortable instantly. Karyn is a spectacular dog walker and has the best lap for cuddles while you are away on your trip! Your pet will not only be safe while you are away, but exercised and surrounded by love until you return.

Karyn has watched our lab multiple times. She took care of Tre while we traveled to Italy. You can trust Karyn to love and take good care of your pet while in her hands. I will provide services only in your home. I’ve had a dog who was an escape artist so am very conscious about keeping doors/fences closed and double checking leashes and collars are secured properly.

The basics: feeding schedule, energy level, behavior towards people and other animals, favorite activities, anything they really don’t like…basically anything you want me to know, I want to know it, too!
A typical day
As an active person, I like to start my day with an outing of some sort, either a neighborhood or trail walk to get our wiggles out. I never run a dog less than an hour after feeding them for stomach flip concerns. I’ve also learned that mental stimulation is just as important as physical, so I would happily play games with your pets that they’re sure to love and feel fulfilled by - I know a lot! Later on, I’ll plan for a heartier activity, if your pup is up to it, so that the day gets nicely rounded out with some fresh air and outdoor time, leaving everyone rested and content.

Availability
I work a remote, flexible schedule, which allows for ample time for walks, play/potty breaks, and feeding according to your pet’s usual schedule. I’m very active so can adapt to an energetic pup who needs a long walk or trail run.
