Hey there! I'm Karmen! Having grown up surrounded by dogs and cats my entire life, my love of animals started at a very young age and I knew I wanted to work with animals for the rest of my life. Currently my house has 2 dogs. My baby Haze who's my super chill senior Pitty & my highly energetic Thai, a jack russell Terrier (She's 1.5 yrs old). Before working with Rover, my passion was pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors, mostly my cousins 5 dogs ranging from a chihuahua to a very large German Shepherd. I love being a pet sitter because it gives me the opportunity to meet and bond with so many new pets and their owners, enjoying all the different personalities of my client’s pets. It’s rewarding when an animal loves seeing you when you walk in the door. I’ll spoil and love on your fur babies while caring for them. When I have free time I enjoy going to concerts, hiking, practicing yoga and meditation, traveling and spending time with family.

Karmen is absolutely amazing with my two yorkies and I know that she loves them as much as I do! They both get so excited to see her and that alone makes me feel very comfortable that she takes great care of them. Karmen’s communication is awesome giving me daily updates along with pictures and videos of my lovely fur babies. She is very reliable, caring, patient, flexible and an absolute dog lover! I’ve used her services approximately 20 times this year alone and I am overly pleased. I highly recommend Karmen and will continue to use only her!
I'm always apprehensive about dog sitters sitting my 6 year old Rottweiler, Baby. She's 100% a docile teddy bear who loves belly rubs and squeaky toys, but Rottweilers get a bad rep, and I'm concerned her breed's reputation will precede her. I've even had sitters cancel on me when they learn she's a Rotty, and that hurts every time. When I found Karmen's palace and saw that a Pit Bull was one of her live in animals, I had hope. She understands the unfair perception some breeds get from the public, and was quick to put my worries to rest. She treats my Baby like a 6-pound sweetie pie and that couldn't make me happier. I've even gotten a few pictures from dress-up day - my Baby LOVES putting on a good costume and strutting her stuff!!! I'm so glad we found a daycare thats accepting, non-judgmental, and above all else, LOVING. Baby and Haze (the pit bull) are total besties now - I have to spell out 'the palace' now, other wise Baby hears the name and gets SUPER excited to go see her friends!!! Rottys are so smart. Maggie (12-year-old Boston Terrier) is the love of my life, and she gets only the best. So I am pretty picky when I look for babysitting/daycares/play dates for her. I'm so happy I found Karmen's Pet Palace - this is Maggie's favorite home away from home! Maggie has a special diet and a few special needs to keep her in tip-top shape through her golden years. Karmen has no problem accommodating us, and even went a step further in taking an interest in Maggie's likes and dislikes. She knows what scratch to use when Maggie is sleepy, what scratch to use when she's overexcited, etc. I'm a little jelly seeing her so excited to see anyone other than her mom - she bounds out the car and doesn't look back when we arrive, hahaa! And when I pick her up, she's always happy and worn out - she takes a good long rest on her back on her favorite braided rug when we get home. That's how I know Karmen takes great care of my girl. I recommend her Pet Palace to all my friends with fur-babies - you won't be disappointed! - Katherine R.
