Pet care experience
I cared for my dog (shihtzu poodle mix) for 12 years (his life basically), especially in his senior years when he was functioning less and less. I have recently been taking care of my family's beagle since we got her as a puppy, and she is now just over a year old. I have also cared for family, friends, and neighbors' dogs of varying breeds as well while they were unable or away, and recently been taking care of friends' cats as well. I also just really, really love most animals, and love spending time with them!

This is the second time Karly has stayed with Porter and Rye and she is awesome! Porter remembered her right away and was so excited to see her. She always arrives on time or early and was very flexible staying late when we got caught in traffic on our trip home. We will absolutely have Karly stay again the next time we are out of town!
Karly did a wonderful job taking care of our 5 month old puppy. I was concerned leaving our young puppy that's potty trained that he might revert backwards. But Karly was diligent in taking him out and so no problems. We needed someone to be home a lot as our puppy wasn't used to being left alone. Karly was there for him. The house was very clean when we returned. We will definitely use Karly again!
Karly did a great job caring for my senior dogs (14 and 10 yrs old). My older dog requires a lot of extra care and medications, and she seemed to stay relaxed and stress free while we were away. I was able to enjoy my time away from home with peace of mind that they were being well cared for.
Karly was great. She took care of both our dogs and was very friendly towards them. They loved her. She even watered our plants, checked the mail and took out the trash. This was our first rover.com experience and it was a great one. We will definitely be back.

I am willing to overnight-sit or stay during the daytime (as I am unable to board dogs in my own home) if need be and can take care of most everything a dog needs in a home once provided necessary instruction (like location of food, information about walking/letting dogs outside, crate/cage if need be).

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs as I may need to educate myself on how best to care for them, or make accommodations. Please also let me know if your dog requires any specialized care outside of basic dog care like cleaning and feeding (like if your dog is incredibly high-energy maybe, if they have special feeding routines or needs). If your dog has a specific personality (lazy, high-energy, not good with other dogs, etc.) that would also be great to know so I am well-prepared!
A typical day
I love playing with dogs or just relaxing with them if in a house. For walks I like going anywhere! Dogs like to explore and so do I.

Availability
I attend online university with a flexible schedule and so am free mostly all the time for whenever you need dog-sitting! I am prepared to overnight-sit if need be as well, or stay during the day.
