I have had a pet most of my life. They bring a smile to my face. My experience ranges from poodles to boxers to severely traumatized pitbulls. I've worked hand in hand with my friends and others in fostering abused animals, even adopting them. These creatures aren't just pets or something that walks on four legs, they are family and an extension of ourselves. I've held a boxer while his poor soul stroked out. I've nursed the emotional and physical wounds caused by a dog fight. I possess the knowledge base to properly handle a senior pup. I've not only volunteered in hospice with humans but with our four legged family members too. I've dealt with the trauma it causes family members as they lose their pets to natural causes or cancer. I've taken care of both. I've worked with blind and deaf dogs. I've been there saying goodbye to the family treasure. My years of experience have given me the grand power of being empathetic, open minded and humble. It is an honor to work with senior dogs. It is an honor to be trusted with any family in any home. I will ensure that your pets are taken care of. I will do what is necessary with each dog or cat in regards to care. During the walk, we may stop to play fetch, run briefly and do whatever the dog enjoys. I may give your dog an oatmeal bath at the end of our walk to ensure your dog is clean and free of allergens. I have experience with giving dogs medication. I do have experience with working on manners. I usually use peanut butter and dog treats as rewards when approved by pet owner. As far as my availability goes, I do appreciate everyone's schedules. I am open from 9:00am-9:30pm and do house sitting (24 hours). I do house sitting. My special rate for house sitting is only for 3 nights+. If it's just one night that you are looking for, I will charge the regular rate. I do negotiate my rates under certain circumstances so we can talk. I am very open. In case of an emergency if you don't want to or can't take your pets, I will care for your pets at a rate of $18 per night, $5 per dog thereafter. (30minute walks or longer per your request, house sitting, feeding schedule, play time, cuddling, baths, basic grooming). If for some reason I can't because my schedule is full, I will refer you to another excellent sitter. I can't guarantee my pricing with another sitter. I try to keep some flexibility in my schedule for pet parent emergencies. Please prepare a list of pet wants, needs along with pet names and ages. Please also prepare a sheet listing your dogs special comfort toys and which dog or cat prefers what as well as the feeding, walking and poop schedule. It is also important to list any special needs, an emergency contact, any medication, allergies, the vets name and phone number for your sitter so that your pets are properly cared for just in case of an emergency. Doing this allows you to have it all set and should have nothing more to worry about on the home front. Nothing that you need to try to remember. Keep this information in a safe place but easy to locate so that you can grab it, leave it for me and go. Update the sheets as needed. Cats have a flat rate of $20 which includes all services. If you have a Medicare or Medicaid card, you will receive 15% off of the total.** Any service member or veteran will receive a 15% discount off of the total.** I look forward to hearing from you.
