I have had a dog in my family home for the vast majority of my life. My family dog was a golden retriever who suffered from regular seizures and I got very accustomed to caring for her needs, including giving her medicine as needed and cleaning up after some unavoidable accidents. When our family dog passed, I was not in a position where I could get a dog myself so I began spending more time with dogs of my friends and family. Since then I have dog-sat, house-sat, walked and visited with many dogs including: a crazy havanese puppy, an elderly dachshund, an excitable shepherd-retriever mix, and a blind but boisterous maltipoo. In Summer 2017 I decided to kick things up a notch and took a dog walking position at an agency in Lincoln Park, Chicago. Through that position I've gotten exposed to an even larger variety of wonderful dogs- all shapes and sizes! I am also completely comfortable with in-home visits and care, including medical support, training, and home maintenance (accidents happen!).
