Pet care experience
I've owned dogs since childhood (two that I raised from puppyhood) and have a special place in my heart for animals in general. I have experience with puppies as young as nine weeks and senior dogs. Before getting my current furry friend—an Australian Shepherd—I did a lot of research on dog training and raising to improve my skillset as an owner. (And now my doggie's well-behaved and attached to me at the hip, a testament to our great relationship.) Even though I believe there needs to be some rules (such as the human is the boss, not the dog), I love making a fuzzy friend feel good through praise, treats, and snuggles. I'm particularly great with gentle souls. Some of my favorite breeds (and ones I have the most experience with) include Aussies, Border Collies, Samoyeds, and Golden Retrievers.

Karli and Zach are great with our Rottie Jake. He comes home calm and happy! They have a great yard. Jake is very comfortable with them! Def will continue to board with Karli n Zach.

Just awesome! Pet parents don’t second guess, you can leave your dog with Karli and Zach and know that are in the best hands! My pup was cared for , played with and loved just like he is at home. Besides Karli stays on top with sending you updates. Talk about peace of mind! And their pup Kelda is a sweet Aussie, which made it super easy for Dasher to settle into the pack. I have a home away from main roads with a fenced-in yard and built-in entertainment for your fuzzy companion in the form of my friendly Australian Shepherd (who is up-to-date on all shots/vaccines). The property is equipped with full camera surveillance. My home's open-floor layout allows me to keep an eye on the pets at all times, and I have gates that can keep them in certain areas of the house if need be. I have an extra crate on hand if you prefer your dog to be crated at any point during their stay, like at bedtime. Possible doggie hazards, like electrical cords or small objects, are extremely minimal.

The more info you provide, the better I'm equipped to give your furry friend an enjoyable stay! Please inform me of any special needs or particular behaviors/habits, like if your dog is possessive with their food or has separation anxiety. I'd love to know what kind of personality your dog has and what in particular they do and don't like. Also let me know your dog's routine so I can make them as comfortable as possible. It's important your pet gets along with other dogs, since I have a fuzzy companion of my own.
A typical day
One of my favorite things to do with my dog is stimulate her mind through games, puzzles, and obedience training. I believe mental exertion is just as important as physical, so we'll be using our brains when we're together. My fenced-in yard has plenty of space for the pups to romp, play fetch, and chase hose water in the summer heat. I live at the top of a hill and near a nature trail, so we'll be getting our exercise during walks!

Availability
I work from home (which my dog loves), so I have lots of time to be with your furry friend. Potty and play breaks happen often throughout the day. My dog gets fed twice daily, but I'd be happy to feed your friend according to your preferred schedule. I typically wake up around 7 a.m. and go to bed at 10 p.m. When I do have to go out, my sister or mom, who live next door and also have dog experience, check in on the fuzzy friends. My husband will also be part of the pack when he's not at work.
