Pet care experience
I’ve been absolutely enthralled with dogs my whole life! I knew once I had the means to get my own, I immediately would and that’s when my first little pup, Riley came into my life 7 years ago, although I did live with a dog and cat that were my college roommates before then. As many might know, Jack Russells are extremely smart but hyperactive dogs and I knew she needed my full attention when training her. Ever since then, most of my friends agreed that dogs belonged in their lives as well and we love getting them all together at a dog park or dog bar when possible. Since then I’ve had a husky that I lived with for 5 years with my ex, several roommates with dogs of all sizes, and my newest little addition, Lincoln who unfortunately came from a tough hoarding situation but after a year of patience and love, he is a completely different dog. I have a friend who also rescued a hoarding dog around the same time and was able to trust me with his care along with her other dog when she would go out of town multiple times. I’m extremely patient with all types of dogs and will make sure they get all the love and cuddles they deserve as you trust me with their care!

10/10 Karla is amazing she goes above and beyond and is worth every dollar!!
So grateful to Karla for taking care of our little guy while we were out of town! He's an anxious pup and is still prone to some accidents inside, but she did such a great job handling him and made sure to check in.
Karla has been caring for my dogs for a long time now and she is fantastic! Both of my dogs are madly in love with her—even my very shy and fearful dog is happy and confident around her (this is rare for him!). She is communicative, easy to work with, and makes sure to send me photo updates :) Her two little dogs Riley & Lincoln are darling and my dogs love to play with them. I feel lucky that Karla was willing to look after my dogs, and you'd be lucky to have Karla as your sitter too!

My rommmate and I just moved into a house that has a fenced in yard which makes it easy when caring for multiple dogs, but I am very used to consistently walking dogs if a fence is not available as I lived in apartments for most of my adult life. I can provide leash recommendations as well if your pup has trouble with pulling on a leash (squirrels sure are hard to resist…) 😊
Information Karla R. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if the dog is potty trained or if they need special attention. Sometimes Lincoln will think peeing inside is okay again (hoarding dogs tend to need extra attention and that’s okay!) so I would not want to accidentally cause multiple accidents if that is unacceptable. Otherwise, I will require a meet and greet just to make sure my dogs get along with your pets and vice versa. I’m comfortable giving pets medication as well if needed.
A typical day
A typical day with my pups would be waking up around 7-9 am depending on the day and letting them roam around in the backyard before feeding them breakfast. During the summer I try to walk them either early in the day or after 6 when it’s not so hot. With 3 dogs in the house, they usually entertain each other but eventually all the toys will come out and we’ll have some playtime in the afternoon. I also love giving them mental stimulation with treat balls and puzzle games when I’m a little busier during the work day! On the weekends, we’ll usually go to a dog park or dog bar and during cooler seasons we love going on long hikes!

Availability
I currently work from home so I am available to come visit and walk your dogs/care for your cats throughout the day and night. If overnight care is needed, I prefer to stay at the owner’s place as my roommate and I just moved into our new house with 3 dogs. I do require that I bring my 2 little ones with me as long as everyone gets along!
