Pet care experience
I’ve always loved animals. I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. I’ve cared for other peoples animals and I’ve helped many people adopt an animal. I’ve fostered dogs and cats and found good homes for all of them. I’ve taken care of animals post surgery, as well as diabetic dogs and cats. I’m able to give injections as well as oral medication. Taking care of an animal, feeding it, giving it medication, walking it and spending time with the animal brings me joy. I am a calm and peaceful person and I think my calm demeanor reflects on the animals and gives them sense of calm as well.

Karla is wonderful!! Toto loves being in her home and was so afraid she wouldn’t want to leave!! She sent us pictures and updates. Made our vacation so relaxing. This was the first time we felt comfortable leaving our dog!!
Our dog had a blast staying with her while we were away on work trips for a few days.
So glad we found Karla!! I was worried about leaving our young cavapoo for several days (he has some separation anxiety and apparently so do I!!) but Karla’s professional and caring nature put us totally at ease and my pup had an amazing stay that was perfectly suited for his needs. We loved getting photo and text updates from her, it was a highlight in our day! :) Everything about the experience was great, it felt like leaving our pup with a trusted family member. We look forward to future stays and I know our little guy does too!!
Can’t say enough good things about Karla! My dog Alba stayed with her for nearly a week while I was away for work. She was so patient and kind with Alba’s anxiety. You can tell she really loves dogs and knows what’s she’s doing with them. Karla sent pictures and updates throughout Albas stay. And she was super flexible when my flight got changed and I needed to adjust Alba’s drop off at the last minute. Would 100% recommend Karla!

In my home dogs have free run of the house. Pets are allowed on furniture and always free to follow me from room to room. In the evenings they can sleep where they want : they can sleep on my bed or they can sleep on a large dog bed - whatever is comfortable for them. I have a fenced in backyard and in the nice weather I enjoy spending time out there.

Let me know how I can best make your dog feel at home. I specialize in older dogs, dogs who have special needs and dogs with separation anxiety. I’m able to give oral medication as well as injections. Be sure to include your dogs special blanket or bed when they come.
A typical day
My home is a calm home where dogs are cared for safely. In nice weather, we’ll spend time in the yard. Later we will take a walk or two - depending on your dogs energy level. Dinner and down time usually involve a snuggle on the couch.

Availability
I am at home full-time and will always be here for your pet, which is especially good for pets who have separation anxiety. I live in a lovely neighborhood - near a large park and several beaches- which is ideal for dog walking. Evenings would be spent cuddling on the couch reading and watching TV with your pet.
