Since I was young, my friends would ask me to take care of their of their best friends when they had to go on a vacation or for a weekend. It started when I voluntarily would take out their dogs for walks and to play outside while they finished some homework. When my friends moved away, my family got a puppy. I began to realize how much it takes to teach and care for a puppy. It was a lot of work but I had fun bonding with my puppy. I am detailed oriented and would make sure my puppy had the right amount of food at the designated times and made sure his water bowl was fresh every time I fed him. However, after four months, we were not able to keep my puppy due to rules the landlord had. So my puppy now lives with my mom's family who are animal lovers and treat him very well. I visit him as much as I can and always take care of other dogs with the same care and attention as I gave my puppy. About a year ago, I started taking care of one of my high school teacher's dogs. She has two medium sized dogs, a male and a female. The male dog, Artie, is still young and has a lot of energy. The female dog, Blue, is of older age and has a different routine than her brother’s. I treat each dog with respect and love; I always motivate them to do their best. I adore taking care of them and have learned how to care for an older dog. When I walk Blue, I encourage her and never say anything that could put her down when we take a walk. Due to her older age, she walks slowly and I encourage her to walk the distance she is used to. I never force her to hurry and I never want to hurt her. Artie is very lively and always wants attention. When Artie seeks attention and Blue is looking at him, I sit next her and have him sit next to me so that I can give my attention to both of them. I do not like to exclude Blue, unless she is sleeping then I try to keep Artie from bugging her. I take care of these dogs like if they were my family and always do my best to keep them comfortable and happy when my teacher is away. Dogs are our best friends and we are their best friends too. We are their guardians and always want them to be happy. Let me help you take care of your best friend.
