Pet care experience
I've owned and taken care of dogs and cats since I was in middle school. Currently, I have a senior German Shephard mix rescue and a crabby but lovable 11-years-young cat. I've taken care of both cats and dogs for my friends and acquaintances, providing them with the nourishment, love, time, and attention they need in the absence of beloved family members. I'm happy to stop by and pay your pet a visit or to take your lovely doggo on a much-needed walk!

Whenever out family needed to go out of town, we could count on Karla to care for our dog Shadow. At the time, Karla had a friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that our dog quickly befriended. As an experienced dog owner, Karla understood our concerns about being separated from our tiniest family member and assured us that she would follow our instructions to the letter. Shadow was well cared for—having received all his meals, brushing sessions, treats, affection, walks and outings. We received pictures of Shadow with is new playmate and updates on how he was doing, which really put our mind at ease. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

Of course, it goes without saying that I will clean any spills, report any issues right away, and make sure I've properly secured your property or pet (if needed) before my departure. My goal is to make you and your pet as comfortable as possible.

Please let me know if your pets have any special needs that I need to take into consideration while caring for them. For instance, prescriptions, diet, triggers, routines, etc. I'd like for your pet to be as stress-free and happy as possible while in my care.
A typical day
Both cats and dogs require daily stimulation. For dogs, I'll provide exercise via walks and play, such as fetch, tug, or puzzle games, depending on what they are into. I find that scoping out the neighborhood is quite fun for dogs. Also, I'm a short drive away from many beautiful, dog-friendly parks. If you're dog stays with me for the day, they'll also receive a ton of affection from my two animal-loving kiddos. And of course, I'll make sure they're fed and comfy. For cats, I will ensure they have a clean litter box, food to eat, and fresh water. If you're cat is the playful type, I'll play games such as using a laser pointer, catnip toys, or puzzle toys to stimulate their mind and body. And of course, they can have all the pets their heart desires.

Availability
I'm currently working full time, but I work from home. I am able to travel to your home during the day to spend time with your pet as I work. Or to pop by around lunchtime or perhaps another time of day if I don't have a meeting scheduled. I spend weekends with my family and pets, but I do have time to do small tasks, such as visits and walks. In addition, I can also offer a safe place for your dog to spend time during the day while you work.
