My father is a retired breeder who specialized in breeding, training, and grooming pedigreee chihuahuas for professional show competitions with the American Kennel Club. My mother's uncle was a veterinarian who showed her simple clinical procedures with dogs, cats, and other animals when she was a child. My mother herself raised cockatiels and taught me how to handfeed and tame them from a young age. My father retired from show breeding but we still took care of our four pugs together as a family (my older sisters shared the work) and the hard work and discipline taught us to be reliable pet owners as we grew up. I have been a proud catdad for the last 4 years. I am comfortable around all cats and dogs (all breeds are welcome); I have experience with puppies, kittens, and senior dog and cat care. I'm also experienced with administering oral medications and supplements, if necessary.
