A Family for Your Pup!
Pet care experience
Your dog will instantly become part of our family and be showered with love and attention. Our family loves dogs and can't wait to take your dog to the park or play around the house with them. A typical day for your dog will include trips to the parks, multiple walks, and lots of play time at home. Also, it's not unusual to see a kid cuddled up on the couch giving belly rubs or even reading a book to them. Someone is usually around all day to watch your dog as both my wife and I work from home. Also, we provide daily updates including pictures so that you always know what your dog is up to during their stay. If you are flying out of SFO, you are welcome to leave your car in front of our house and we will keep a close eye on it while you are away. Our background is that I grew up dog sitting as my parents wouldn't let us get a dog whereas my wife was lucky enough to grow up with her own dog. As mentioned, our family has watched dogs before and you probably are doing us more of the favor by letting us care for your dog and letting us enjoy and love them during their stay.

Our dog loved the kids,and it showed through the regular communication! All the supplies came back in clean wonderful condition as well. We felt confident that our dog was well taken care of by Karl and family. We asked if they would be “willing” to watch our barkey dog again.
Karl and his family are just the best! Doc is always sad to leave their house and he clearly feels very comfortable and loved at Karl's house. Can't recommend enough!

Typically, we watch only one dog at a time and they get free rein in our house. We have a fenced yard and live on a street that dead-ends into the park. We follow your lead with regards to care (e.g crate / non-crate, providing medicine, etc) and our very flexible. We want your dog to be as comfortable as possible.

We just need to know if your dog gets along well with children. Our youngest child is now 10. Having watched dogs their entire life our children are all great and know how to behave around dogs.
A typical day
Our kids really want a dog and since we do not have one of our own your dog gets adopted into the family. The amount of attention and love your dog received makes stays with us special. Your dog will go on lots of walks as we are close to the main park and live in a very walking friendly neighborhood. On weekends your dog will come with us on hikes or other outdoor activities. On nice days, I love taking dogs to the beach if they are up for it.
