Pet care experience
I have been a pet owner (dogs, cats, birds, fish, frogs) for my entire life and have taken care of pet-related responsibilities since I was 7. Aside from my own, I have regularly watched neighbors’ and friends’ pets and absolutely love spending time with them. I am familiar with the needs of senior pets as I have had multiple cats, birds, and dogs spend their entire lives in my family’s care. I also have a relatively flexible schedule. If your pet has any special needs, I am happy to discuss them and can stay in close communication throughout the job if necessary.

She did a great job with my blind dog and his accidents.
Karissa was great with my 3 pups when she house-sat overnight. I have a shy dog, a fear-aggressive dog, and a friendly puppy. She managed to get all 3 of them what they needed (their needs are all different) and we came home to happy dogs. We have been in need of a dog sitter for a while and we are working on planning more trips and will be contacting Karissa again!
Karissa has been looking after our dog when we're away since she was a puppy. Karissa is super responsible, gentle, loving, dependable, and our dog clearly adores her. Our dog Holly gets so excited when she sees Karissa! It's so hard to find someone you can trust with your dog. I trust Karissa so much. I highly recommend her.
Karissa walked our dogs and dog sat for us several times. She is very reliable and caring. My dogs loved her. I trust her to have a key to my house and stay in the house with my dogs while I’m away. I wish she was still in our area!

I always take notes on their food portion sizes and eating schedule, their medicine routine (if applicable), location of their water dish, favorite toys/walking locations, and if they’re not allowed in certain rooms or on any furniture.
A typical day
I can play with them with toys and can also give lots of love and pets! I typically follow the route they are used to for walks unless otherwise instructed. I can also bring them to parks with your permission.

My schedule is currently very flexible as a student and I would only need to leave for a few hours at a time at most for classes.
