Pet care experience
The first dog I ever watched was a puppy that had absolutely no training, she was very cute but I did have to teach her where to go potty and not to go too far while play fighting due to my older dog being in the house with us. I had an older dog back home and when I would watch dogs for people I had to watch their behavior towards each other and make sure they were both comfortable the whole time. I’ve also watched a couple bigger dogs (labs and German Shepard’s) and have had no problems as long as they had basic training.

Karishma did an amazing job watching our dog and cat and housesitting! She sent me plenty of picture and written updates, asked me questions about things she was unsure of, and contacted me when my dog got sprayed by a skunk. She even went the extra mile to make sure my dog and my house didn't reek :). Karishma clearly loves animals and she is an excellent guest. I would book her again and would highly recommend her!

I can follow any directions given to me in relation to the pet. Typically, if no instructions are given, I will treat the dog (or cat) as my own and watch how they act to see if they want to play or go out or just cuddle! I also have a lot of experience with watching cats (my roommate owns one) and love to hang out with them. I also love to send pictures of peoples pets and I will always ask questions if the dog or cats behavior seems different than usual. I also recently came across a skunk incident with the last dog I watched and now know how to get the smell off of a dog as fast as possible so you wouldn’t have to worry about that if it were to happen.

A typical day
I love going on walks, even by myself, so long walks are definitely always on the table. But if your pet is more on the lazy side, I am more than happy to just keep them company and play with them in or around the house. I am an expert at throwing tennis balls, after staying with a German Shepard for three days my arm felt ready to fall off from the amount of times I threw him a ball. I also play smelling games back home with my parents dog where I’ll hide her treats and hype her up while she sniffs around and looks for it :). Anything that you know your dog or cat likes to do, I’m more than happy to play or do with them.

Availability
I just graduated from MSU and am currently in flight school so my hours away from home vary from day to day. Unfortunately due to this, I am not able to watch dogs or cats that cannot be alone for up to 6 hours, but I try to keep my schedule so I am at home by a certain time each night to keep your pets company :). My school is located in Ypsilanti, so I do not currently accept requests from people if they live further than 30-40 min from there.
