For all of my adult life, I have always taken care of people's pets. However, I have taken care of older dogs and cats with health issues who require extra patience and attention.

Karina was the perfect person to stay with Daisy. Daisy is a 14 year old Jack Russell Terrier. Because she is older, Daisy has quirks and a few extra needs. Daisy and I are a family of two. We do everything together and she is used to receiving a lot of love and having a companion to share life with. Karina was the most kind and gentle dog sitter. She stayed at the house and took care of Daisy so Daisy could keep her routines while I was away. Karina is a genuine and thoughtful person. She was so respectful of Daisy and of our home. Karina was very attentive to Daisy’s needs. If you are looking for kind-hearted person to care for your animal family member while you are away, I highly suggest Karina. I feel very lucky she was able to come and be with Daisy and I would ask her to come back again in a heartbeat. Karina doesn’t deserve 5 stars - she deserves a sky full of them! Thank you Karina, for your kindness and gentleness to Daisy. I am so grateful there was someone like you to help keep Daisy safe, healthy and happy while I was away.
Karina was Amazing with our dogs! They seemed so happy when we got back and they looked well cared for. Plus, our home was in good condition as well. We will definitely be booking her again!

Karina was very loving and affectionate to my two cats. She sent pictures and updates often, and even bought them some new toys! I'll definitely be rebooking Karina if I need anyone to watch my cats.

Taking care of anyone's fur-baby is an incredibly important and serious job that often gets disguised as simple tasks - "feed, walk, and take out." However, it is more than that! I try to clearly understand, know, and follow the instructions that owner(s) share for their pet. But, I also try to get to know the individual pet when I meet them. I try to assure them through pats, sniffs, treats, walks, and play that they are loved and that everything will be ok. I often talk aloud and/or read aloud to them because it helps them feel less lonely.

Any information about your pet is useful! Are there special needs that I need to be aware of (for example, needs a little support going up the front steps), specific command words to use, any preferences in walking routes, treats, schedules to be let out, household enemies likes the water kettle, or anything to make your pet's experience a lot more enjoyable.
A typical day
I love providing dogs with a variety of activities to keep them physically and mentally engaged! Dog walks around the neighborhood are a must, as well as visits to nearby dog parks, and even a visit to Bad Dog Frida for a little treat. I am biased to the Verona Prairie Moraine dog park but would love to explore others with new furry friends if the opportunity presents itself. Fetch, treasure hunt, trying out new tricks, and using doggie puzzles are also go-to's.

As a tax preparer for a small business, I have the rest of the year to work on things that enhance my life. Being outside and around animals is the the stuff that life is made of!
