Loving Care When You Aren't There.

Pet care experience

**PLEASE READ UPDATED 2/2/24** **IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW- WILL SAVE YOU TIME TO KNOW ABOUT ME AND WHAT I CAN OFFER* About Me: Hey, my name is Karina, and I have 4 dogs of our own; a Puppy Weimaraner named Belle Lumina, a Weimaraner named Romeo, a Great Dane named Gaia, and a Puppy Dauchshund named Newton Linguini. We would provide a loving and playful home while you are away on a trip or unable to do so; we prepare treats for most dinners, sometimes oats, sweet potatoes, and even Chilean sea bass skins with berries on occasion. My main job is in mining and construction. I am a recent graduate from UCCS, with a degree in Biology with an emphasis on Biomedical Science and Pre-Medicine. I graduated with honors and am super proud of that. I am currently studying for the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test), and I am working on my Masters in Science of Cybersecurity. I am a very open personality type and am always looking to help people. I am very transparent and will always be honest, even if the circumstances are bad news. Thus I hope people are honest with me about pets' tendencies separation anxiety or destructive behavior. I understand people's time is necessary, so I wanted to be as thorough as possible before bookings. I have four super spoiled dogs, and yours would be too. Aside from that, I am pretty boring and do not do much outside of hanging out with my dogs, studying, and working. If anything comes to mind, please ask. Our dogs have been with us since the beginning of their time. Romeo was rescued as a puppy from a bad situation we adopted Gaia as a puppy and recently added Belle and Newton. A puppy for the puppy if you will. Our dogs are our family, and your pet would be no different when coming into our home. We provide cuddles and take time to ensure each one gets the same affection and no one feels left out. I can administer medications and ensure that all different pills are taken accordingly.

Karina was so great and updated us each time she checked on our pups and sent lots of pics. She genuinely spent time making sure they got some energy out and went outside. She went above and beyond, would totally recommend her!!

**PLEASE READ IMPORTANT SAFETY** My home is fully fenced in, and my yard has two fenced areas. One area is typically for the pups to run around and play the other is open when we are with the pups due to the wrap around yard. The fenced-approved side allows us to keep the yard clean and ensure that the dogs are not getting into anything they are not supposed to. Additionally, we closely watch the pups at all times, even outside, to ensure everyone is playing without getting too rough or not getting into things. I recommend a meet and greet before the dogs' stay to ensure the dogs get along great. Please know that if a dog does not fit into the pack, it will have to be kenneled for its stay. I will not endanger other dogs due to one dog's behavior. A meet and greet will allow us to see the dogs mingle and see if they are a good fit for the pack. If we aren't, it can help you find the appropriate person for your time away. For those reasons, I have never had any fights or agitated behaviors from dogs we have hosted. Please do not lie about your pet's behaviors. It makes the whole stay less stressful for both parties. I have had owners not be honest and then not taken accountability for their actions, i do not want to have to do repairs for someone else not being honest with me. Additionally, I cannot accept unneutered or unspayed dogs because some show aggressive behaviors toward other dogs and will typically try to mark our home for dominance. Suppose dogs have a history of destruction, I will not accept dogs with a destruction history. In addition anxiety and separation anxiety. If the dog destroys something while on their stay the owner will be notified. If the pet has reactive behaviors and tries jumping our fence or knocking the planks down, pet parents will be notified, and we will discuss the best course of action to ensure the dog is safe for the remainder of their stay but also not being reactive towards the fence and showing destructive behaviors.

Information Karina G. would like to know about your pet

It is essential to know dogs that are not neutered or spayed; it would save both of us time. Any concerning allergies or anything significant. Notes of whether dogs are free to roam or need to be kenneled while I step out. I only have limited spots for free-roam pets. If all locations are taken, pets will have to be kenneled, if that is not an option and all locations are filled, I would probably not be the best fit.

A typical day

A typical day involved the dogs eating breakfast, playing throughout the day, sunbathing, and relaxing. When I need to run errands, there are times when I take pups with me, and we go around town. Due to having a pack, the dogs typically play throughout the day and wear themselves out. As mentioned, this is not my only job, and unfortunately, because I have other obligations and typically have a pack of dogs, I cannot walk dogs. I would only be able to take one or two once in a while when time allows me with the other dogs. If that is needed for your pup, someone other than me might be the best fit.

**PLEASE READ** My day is very versatile. Rover is my side business and is not my primary job. My day typically begins at 7 am, I try to go to the gym in the am around 4 am but lately things have changed with the babies. From there, the pups can stretch, eat and play while I prepare for the day. If I have meetings or other pressing matters, I get those done promptly to return home quickly for the remainder of the day. Sometimes I can work from home, and the pups play, sunbathe, and hang out on those days. 4-6 hours is typically the maximum time for me to be away from the dogs, but we haven't been gone even that long lately. If there is a pup that needs a more timely outing I can accommodate it; we just have to communicate and I need honestly as an owner. My prices are cheap because I am not home 24.7, as many do I have a job and sometimes I have to run out for meetings etc, but with our two puppies I make sure to be around appropriately. Also, times are tough with everything being so expensive so I am hoping to help others with their travels.
