Pet care experience
What sets me apart as a pet sitter is not just my passion for animals, but also my diverse skill set and commitment to providing exceptional care. One aspect that distinguishes me is my extensive experience in training puppies. I understand the importance of positive reinforcement techniques and consistency in shaping desired behaviors, which can be crucial during the formative stages of a puppy's development. Moreover, I specialize in senior pet care, recognizing the unique needs and considerations that come with caring for older animals. Whether it's administering medication, providing gentle exercise, or simply offering extra patience and attention, I prioritize the well-being and comfort of senior pets to ensure they maintain a high quality of life. In addition to these specialized skills, I pride myself on my reliability, attentiveness, and ability to establish strong connections with both pets and their owners. Communication is key, and I make it a priority to keep pet owners informed and reassured while they are away, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly. Ultimately, what sets me apart is my unwavering dedication to the happiness, health, and safety of the pets entrusted to my care. Whether it's training a new puppy or providing comfort to a senior companion, I approach each pet sitting opportunity with enthusiasm, compassion, and a genuine love for animals.
Reviews
Karina has been a wonderful caregiver to my two dogs Axe and Monty. They are always happy when she comes by to walk them and they return happy from their walk. Karina is very patient with my senior dog Monty as he needs more patience since he doesn’t walk as fast anymore. She is very patient with my dogs and very responsible when we have her take care of our dogs when we are away on a trip, she always feeds them on time, she also makes sure their water bowl is always full, and she takes them out on their scheduled times after their morning walks. I would recommend Karina to anyone who has senior dogs and younger teenage dogs such as my Axe.

A typical day
When dog sitting, a typical day involves a blend of structured routines, play, and affectionate care to ensure the well-being and happiness of the pets under my supervision. Here's a description of a typical day and the fun activities I would engage in: Morning: Breakfast and Morning Walk: Begin the day with a nutritious breakfast tailored to each dog's dietary needs, followed by a refreshing morning walk to get some exercise and fresh air. Playtime and Enrichment: Engage in interactive play sessions with toys, balls, or frisbees to stimulate the dogs mentally and physically. Introduce puzzle toys or treat dispensers for a bit of mental enrichment. Midday: 3. Rest and Relaxation: Allow for a midday nap or quiet time to ensure the dogs have an opportunity to rest and recharge in a comfortable and safe environment. Training Sessions: Incorporate short training sessions to reinforce basic commands or introduce new tricks. Positive reinforcement and treats are used to make learning enjoyable. Afternoon: 5. Outdoor Activities: Explore nearby parks for a change of scenery. Play fetch, let them socialize with other dogs if suitable, or go on a nature walk for a variety of smells and sights. Grooming and Pampering: Depending on the dogs' needs, conduct grooming sessions such as brushing, nail trimming, or a relaxing bath. This contributes to their overall well-being. Evening: 7. Dinner and Evening Stroll: Serve dinner and follow it with a leisurely evening stroll to wind down the day. This provides additional exercise and a chance to enjoy the surroundings. Cuddling and Bonding: Spend quality time indoors for cuddling and bonding. Provide individual attention, belly rubs, and affection to create a strong connection with each dog. Night: 9. Bedtime Routine: Establish a bedtime routine, ensuring the dogs are comfortable and settled for the night. Provide cozy bedding and a calm atmosphere to encourage restful sleep. Throughout the day, I adapt activities based on the dogs' preferences, energy levels, and any specific needs they may have. The goal is to create a positive and enjoyable experience, balancing physical activity, mental stimulation, and moments of relaxation to make the time spent with me both fun and fulfilling for the dogs.
