I've lived with cats for more than half my life. My parents got a cat before I was born to test the parenting waters... :). I loved our first family cat, Tigger (see photo of me as a small child hauling her across the room). I am a currently a proud cat Mom of a recently adopted black cat named, Brooke. Over the course of my adult life, cats were part of my household 40 percent of the time. I recently proactively changed my professional employment status within the corporate world to part-time, so that I can "change up" my daily activities to live a more balanced life and engage more directly with my local community (i.e. That's You and Your Cat!). I would like to help you with your cat care needs, as I know how important it is be able to step away from your home confidently with a peace of mind, knowing that your precious loved one is receiving best in class care in a safe and trusting environment (i.e. your home). I am very familiar with cat behaviors, and I am capable of recognizing when a cat needs medical attention by a veterinarian or vet technician. I am capable of facilitating getting your cat professional medical attention by a vet while your are away, if the need arises. I have had to do this numerous times for my own cats over the years for both wellness visits and interventional, urgent medical needs. I am capable of administering oral medications mixed with food and water. I have a good understanding of some of the hazards cats can run into and which they need to avoid in order to stay safe and healthy; these can include plants, chemicals, plastic bags, tape, wrappers, small objects, and wires to name just a few. I am very detail oriented; I will follow your instructions carefully.
