I have mostly dog-sat for friends of friends prior to Rover. I love getting to know a dog's idiosyncracies well and have repeat customers. I don't have a dog because quality pet care matters too much. If I can't provide for your dog, I won't take the gig. My first dog sitting was with a foster dog turned permanent adoption. This black lab was middle-aged and developed an incontinence issue. I gave her meds and kept her diaper changed indoors (commando for walks). I also gave the owner's cats medicine in addition. It can be fun cat catching, like Aria, quick and nimble. I prefer a lot of communication prior to the visit and clear instructions so the dog can have the routine maintained. I even walk in cold weather.
