I've always had a dog and love their companionship. Dogs are family and I intend to treat them as "little people" who need love and attention. I work remotely from home and also love the outdoors. I am usually the go-to friend to dog sit when my friends go out of town. In college my boyfriend had a big pit, Carter that I would run a lot so I can handle big dogs. I have a cat who is much older and usually hides under my bed. He's fine with other animals as I used to have a dog. He tends to keep to himself when there's another animal around.
