I grew up with dogs, but became a cat lady (I have 2!) when I moved into an apartment. I get along with all personalities and sizes of dogs, and neighbors have relied on me to care for their dogs and cats ever since I moved to this neighborhood 10 years ago. Friends call me the Cat Whisperer, because the most timid cats love me.

Communicative, friendly, and took great care of my cats!
Karen was beyond beyond beyond FANTASTIC! She sent the best photo and video updates. She even came with her own bag of toys for our cat, which helped us learn more about his preferences. I am so grateful for Karen’s help as seeing her interactions with my cat is teaching me how to better care for him! I can not recommend her enough! She will be our go to sitter here on out!
Karen is awesome. My two cats tend to be shy and cautious around people but she managed to get close to them. I had to left them at home for one week for the first time and Karen did a great job taking care of them 😊
Karen has been caring for my three cats when I've been out of town. She has gotten to know them well over the past couple of years, and she updates me on their status with daily pictures - they all have quirky personalities, and she knows how to care for them individually. She even got my most distrustful cat to come out of hiding. That was quite the achievement! She is reliable, trustworthy, and cares for my babies like they were her own. I travel with piece of mind knowing that Karen is there. She is simply the best!

For cats: I let them take the lead. Some want to play (and I always come with toys), and others prefer that I feed them, change their litter box, and step away while they eye me suspiciously. I never force anything, and that's probably why shy cats tend to feel safe with me. For dogs: Safety first – I always double check the collar/harness. I never have headphones on when I walk them, because I prefer to be present with him/her/them. Overall, my goal is for the pet to feel safe and cared for, and you to have peace of mind. I also send lots of pictures and videos.

Let me know your pet's personality type, and if he or she will charge the door. If it's a cat: is he shy, or will he want to play? Where are her usual hiding spots? If it's a dog: How is she when she sees other dogs on the street? Are there particular noises that scare her? If it's a multi-pet household, who is the alpha pet? Who steals the food?
A typical day
For cats: I bring an assortment of toys, because some cats love the laser, and some cats prefer to quietly rub their head on a catnip toy. Some cats just want to sit and talk, and others want me as far as away as possible. For dogs: Show me the way! If I'm just walking the dog, I know they have a routine they're used to. Let me know what that is, although I'm fairly certain the dog will show me.

I currently work part time, and my schedule is flexible, so although I prefer visits to be scheduled at least a day in advance, I can usually make myself available for last-minute needs.
