I am a Coast Guard wife who absolutely LOVES dogs! Any shape, size, and temperament are fine with me! I have several years of experience walking and sitting a variety of breeds and ages, and am excited to meet your furry friend! I also have experience caring for cats, and would love sitting them, too! I graduated from University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point in 2016 with a degree in Biology/Captive Wildlife. After graduation, I met my now husband, and the Coast Guard moved us to Washington State. There, I worked at a dog grooming, boarding, and training facility where I apprenticed as a professional dog trainer, as well as learned the trade of dog grooming. The summer of 2020 is when the Coast Guard moved us to Sunrise, Florida, and I would love to get back to caring for others pets! Note about COVID-19 I take the current pandemic very seriously. Since February, 2020, my husband and I have adhered to CDC guidelines. We always wear a mask in public (or while visiting a house we do not live in), are always carrying and utilizing hand sanitizer (before and after entering a public setting), and are maintaining social distance (avoiding gatherings of any size, keeping six feet of distance between us and others, not attending restaurants, gyms, entertainment facilities, or beaches). If you or anyone in your household is sick, please let me know as soon as possible to reschedule or cancel my sitting services. I will also be very open, upfront, and honest with you if I am feeling ill. Why I love dog sitting When I was born in Tennessee, we had seven dogs and two cats at one time! Once we moved and had to give the dogs away, we got a golden retriever in our new home. He lived to be 15! I have also cared for my other grandmother's 14 year old pit bull mix. My husband and I now own a chocolate lab, a dachshund, a cat, and two reptiles. I have always been an animal lover, and can't wait to share that love with your pets! My experience administering medication I will happily administer oral, topical, or subcutaneous injected medicine as needed. I have experience administering insulin, as well. Currently, I have a completely open schedule. Any day and any time that I'm needed, I'll be available to spend caring for and loving on your pet! When pet sitting, I prefer to keep the animals in their own environment. In my experience, animals are more calm in a familiar place and with a structured routine.
