I have dog sat our son and his bride to be dog for a few years now. Have watched him overnight as well. My experience is more to do with cats and their personalities, as we had 2 15, and 19 before they passed away, one just recently. Both dogs and cats are fun to hang out with and love on. In general the dog or cat are just fun to be with. I live when they want to snuggle or be played with. I've been known to make up a song using their name and singing it to them. I can give medications to cats, and I'm sure dogs. I've had more training with cats due to having had cats for pets for 23 years.
