Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals all my life - I've never known a time when I didn't have cats or dogs. I've also done wildlife rehabilitation, feral cat rescue, and was a kitten/cat foster mom for many years. I have experience with, and have a soft spot for senior and special needs animals (my latest "foster fail" is a cat with Cerebellar Hypoplasia). I have experience giving animals injections, subcutaneous fluid, bottle-feeding, and administering medication in all forms. I know it can be stressful leaving a senior or special needs animal behind when you go away. I want to provide peace of mind that your pet will be in good hands.

Boomer doesn't mind when we leave anymore as he likes Karen so much! This time, Karen successfully navigated a houseful of guests in town for a wedding, working around their schedules to care for Boomer!

A typical day
If your dog is high-energy, I'm your gal. I'm a very active person who would love to take your pup to a local dog park and wear them down with running and playing, or exercising them in your fenced yard. But exercise and stimulation is also important for your cat. I go beyond basic feeding and litter management; I love to spend time playing with your feline friend(s)--on their terms, of course.
