I have had pets all my life, growing up with dogs and cats and even a horse. I love animals and am currently owned by and serve as butler, groomer, waitress, and all-around servant to four rescue cats of various ages, LOL. I have cared for friends and neighbors pets, including dogs, cats, birds, and even a hedge-hog! I have cared for pets of all ages, including elderly pets needing more attention and care and those needing specialized care like special diets and medication. I understand what it’s like to need a reliable, caring person to care for your fur-babies. My formal pet-sitting and house-sitting experience started when a friend began to need me to watch her (elderly) cats while she went on vacation. Another needed someone to care for her dog as the pet got older and less able to stay alone for long periods of time; so I would feed/water, administer medication, and walk her fur-baby while staying at her house. I have expanded my services to help several other people with their house- and pet-sitting needs, including even watching a hedgehog a few years ago! So for several years now, I have watched people's houses and cared for their animals in their home, and I feel confident that I can continue to provide that same level of quality care. Having retired after years in the service industry, education, and customer service, I currently have a very flexible schedule for walking, feeding, etc. I have availability almost all of the time for either drop-in visits or house-sitting as necessary. For drop-in visits, I feed and water (and medicate, if necessary) your fur-baby/ies according to your specific instructions, keep potty areas clean, make a visual check of their physical condition, assess their emotional health (and give them extra luvs if they need it), and clean up any accidents as necessary. In addition, when house-sitting, I will spend a lot of time interacting with them and providing attention in your absence to keep them feeling loved and cared for.
