Pet care experience
I have had dogs all my life, sadly I lost my long term fried German Pointer last year and after 3 days saying I would have a dog break I realised how much a part of my life they are and I took on my rescue poodle Dennis ! What a great decision. I would love to help others take care of their furry friends. I work from home so it’s perfect as I can be flexible and prioritise the needs of the pets I look after. The pets I look after will be treated with love and affection and kindness. Days can be filled with walks and activities and nights full of cuddles and love. I would love to get to know your pet and give them whatever they need. I love walking my dog and others in my local village and can drive so can have trips out as well.

I have a fenced area and access to a riverbank area for playtime. Your dog will be welcome on my sofa if they prefer it or can be crated if they would rather. My own dog is welcoming and friendly and offers great company.

Let me know if your dog has any special dietary requirements or food preferences. Also if there are any games they like to play or activities like fetch, ball throwing etc
A typical day
I get up about 7 am and start the day with a walk and breakfast. I then usually clear off to the office doing something boring whilst my dog has a well earned sleep under my desk. Out at lunchtime for another walk and then an afternoon dog nap before teatime ! Often Dennis plays in the garden whilst i am cooking dinner and then another walkies before bedtime. Weekends are great get up a bit later have a hearty breakfast and then sometimes head off with the dog walking group or get in the car for a trip out … Lotherton is a favourite and Templenewsam park or in summer may go further. Sometimes friends Amber and Lulu come round for a ball chasing and general woodland walk/ run around competition. It’s even better and more fun when i have a doggy friend to stay.

Availability
I currently work from home during the week and am flexible to meet my guests needs. As well as having access to my private garden I live in a rural country area with many great walks.
