Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Karen—but please call me Kit! 😁 I’m a recent wildlife biology grad from UC Davis. I have loved animals my entire life and would be delighted to care for yours! I have been dog-walking and petsitting with Rover for over 4 years and have cared for animals since I was very young. Pet care is very fulfilling for me because nurturing and playing with animals fills me with joy! I LOVE caring for dogs since I don’t have one of my own (yet 😉), and I adore cats—I have cared for newborn kittens, senior cats, and everything in between.🐱❤️ I am most experienced with cats and dogs, with some bird and rodent experience, but I love all animals and would gladly learn to look after any creature. Zoo volunteer work has led me to care for birds, mice, goats, rabbits, reptiles, and even bears. I also have medical experience with birds and mammals from a 6-month internship with Wildlife Care Association, a Sacramento-based wildlife rehab center, in summer 2021. I would be honored to care for your dog, cat, or any other pet! 🐾 I recently moved to Denver from California and am currently not working any permanent role while I adjust to my new home. I plan to continue working for Rover indefinitely, possibly full time. Lucky me, that means my schedule is fully open for pet care! And your lucky pets will be spoiled by an animal lover with lots of time and nowhere to rush off to. 💕 I always treat my client’s home with utmost respect, and leave the home in the same (or better) condition than I found it. I strive to keep the pet(s)’ routine the same as when their owners are home as best as I can. 🏡

Kit is amazing. They clearly care for our pets as if they were their own. Kit goes above and beyond to care for our pets, and I would highly recommend them.
Kit was so amazing with our 3 cats while we were away. We received thoughtful updates and pictures everyday. They handled our separation concerns between our aggressive cats with ease and was so patient with our more shy guy to be able coax him out to make sure he was given love and attention. We were so relieved to know our fur babies were in such good care.
Kit is amazing! They do a great job with our cat and dog and you can tell they are a pet person! They take amazing care of our pets whether it’s a mid day walk or a few days with them.

A typical day
I will play with your pet for as long as they want, and give them so much love and pets! I love playing fetch at the park, watching dogs interact with each other, teaching new tricks, and hanging out on the floor with pets. And if someone settles down on my lap… I’m staying put!
