Pet care experience
We are an active family of 5+2: Mom, Dad, 20, 11, 9 and 2 miniature dachshunds named Charlotte and Odin. We are a family operation. Everyone pitches in to feed and cuddle guests. I was the neighborhood petsitter as a teenager. As an adult I am finding it impossible to find a teen willing/able to provide the same services! We use a wonderful in home boarding service for our pups during vacations (thanks Betsy & Dan!). We had such a great experience we decided to join in the fun! **We often have more than one guest pup. Please let me know in advance if this is a concern. About this sitter: Mom and wife to 3 human children, one husband, and a 9 year old miniature dachshund named Charlotte and a 5 year old named Odin. Why I love dog sitting Since I was born I think! I was the neighborhood petsitter as a teenager. That prepared me for a jobs in college that included a boarding kennel, SPCA, veterinarian's office and Petsmart. I enjoy training my dogs. I have taken classes with my pups at Petsmart and the Dog Training Club of Chester County. I couldn't imagine my life without a dog! Meet my pets Parakeets About my yard We have over an acre of fairly flat land. It is NOT fenced, but I use a 30ft or 50ft leash for guest dogs so they can get a good romp.

Karen is Great! She takes care of your dog like it's hers. She so easy to make all the arrangements with. Josie is usually nervous when we leave her, but I think she feels right at home with Karen. So happy we found her
Kilo had a great (extended) stay with Karen and her family. He was pooped when he got home! Karen was very accommodating even when I needed to adjust my stay date. She even sent me update pictures over the course of the stay. Would highly recommend to anyone!
Thank you again for keeping our two fluffy kids for us! I really do love the photo updates of them having fun with your family and pups! Great experience, as always. :)
Wilson seems very happy with Karen and her family. Karen is very flexible with her schedule which helps tremendously with drop off and pick up times :D

I like to know the dog's basic routine so I can stick to it as much as possible. When do they eat, where do they like to sleep, how often do they go out and how many walks. I'm comfortable with most breeds.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Yes. We live in a development that is a nice mile+ loop. Your dog's sleeping arrangement They really like their own bed, so if you have a crate, bring it! :) If they aren't used to a crate, we set up a sleeping area so they can be comfortable and safe. Time I'll spend with your dog We are home and outside as much as we can. I am away from the dogs no longer than a few hours. Often if I am not here my husband or teenage son take over keeping the dog's company.
