Pet care experience
My mother (Karen) and I (Laura) work together to make sure your pets have the best stay possible! I am a former veterinarian assistant, and I have worked in many vet offices through the years. I have been involved with animals for over 25 years and Karen for over 30! It is usually me, Laura, taking care of your babies but Karen is always available if needed. One of us will be home with your pets all day every day, and there are no other pets in the home. We prefer that when a pet comes to stay, they have all our attention and don't have to worry about other animals. This is my first time living without a dog at home but for now, I am thoroughly enjoying taking care of visitors. If you have specific do's or don't, just let us know and your pets visit can be as strict or as spoiled as you would like. They will feel at home and will have free reign of the house, including furniture or beds, depending on your wishes. We live in a 3 bed, 2 bath, 2200 sqft home and the yard is as big as a football field, it is literally 300ft x 100ft. The house is one of only 2 homes on a small road tucked back in a beautiful small neighborhood, with very few neighbors. It is perfect for walks, cars are rare, and nature is everywhere. Even though the area is calm and peaceful, we are only one minute from Atlantic Blvd, Beach Blvd, University Blvd, and only 3 minutes from downtown. This location also places us close to multiple veterinarian offices, as well as after-hour emergency locations. We will keep you updated on how your dog is doing throughout the their stay, including daily pictures. We can provide extra services such as brushing, bathing, nail trimming, or any special request/needs that you may have. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! *Please Note: If your requested service dates include a holiday, holiday rates will apply. If Rovers quote/cost does not reflect holiday rates, it will be updated during the booking process. Rates more than 15 days in the future may be higher than current rates, especially during holidays.

We had Laura as our 1st sitter from Rover. She was taking care of our 1 yr. old Golden Retriever - Mollie Grace. Laura was SO easy to work with and was great at keeping us updated on all of Mollie's activities. We actually were out of the country for almost 3 weeks. Laura sent pictures everyday ranging from Mollie sleeping (in Laura's bed!). They have a runner that you can attach to a harness so that Mollie could run back and forth in their backyard. Laura made it so much easier for us to leave Mollie Grace for the first time. If we ever need another sitter for a trip, we will be calling on Laura!
They took such good care of my goofy, skittish girl Molly. Molly is a rescued pit mix who is sweet as pie with people but very selective about dogs. So when I board her, she spends most of her time alone in the kennel. I didn't want that for her this time around, so I planned a meet and greet and it went great. While I was away, they showed her all the love, patience and attention I could have hoped for. I got pictures every day, questions about whether her quirky behavior was normal (it is) and my girl isn't even mad at me, or giving me the silent treatment as she usually does when I board her. I will gladly book them again next time I need to go away!
I feel so lucky to have found Laura to watch my dog while I was away. She was so great with my dog, kept me updated with photos, and I can tell she just loves dogs. Everything was great and I cannot recommend her enough. Will definitely hire her for all future needs of a dog sitter.

We have a large house with a big play room (cooled with A/C, perfect for hot days) and a porch (outside & screened, covered & enclosed, great for rainy days). They are both 14ft x 40ft! Tons of room to run and play no matter what the weather is outside. There are no children or other animals to worry about and we only watch one family at a time, so your dog(s) will have the place to themselves. We are happy to make specialty meals, administer medications at specific times, and provide potty/exercise breaks consistantly throughout the day. We have always been super protective over our own pets, and yours will be no different!

Information on their personality, food habits, potty schedules and more will be vital to keeping them happy and healthy. We keep a file on each animal, so we can make every stay as comfortable as possible.
A typical day
Every Day is different for each guest. Some need lots of stimulation, some prefer to enjoy their "me" time, while other just need love and attention. We have a huge backyard and beautiful neighborhood to play games and go for walks. The yard is not fenced in but we have multiple runners so the dogs can have a sense of freedom while still being secure. We also have different size and style toys, a doggie pool, hose sprayers, and sprinklers. Our guests never get bored during their time here! We also have a humongous outback porch and an indoor playroom for indoor activities.

We do not have any children or pets in the home and we are here with your fur babies 24/7! We do not have jobs other than Rover, so we won't be on a computer all day ignoring your pets, they will have ALL our attention for walks, food, play, meds, baths, whatever they need. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions, we always try and accommodate your needs or requests.
