Pet care experience
Though I did not grow up with animals, when I got my first pet as an adult, I quickly learned the amazing bond that can be had with a pet. I have cared for 2 guinea pigs for almost 6 years. I also have 2 pitbull mix dogs that are the sweetest. I've taken care of cats and dogs of friends and family and can do anything from walking, bathing, playing to administering medications for your animal if needed. Recently, we adopted an older dog (13 yr old), and have to be very diligent with her care as her needs are different than my 5 yr old dog. I will treat your pet like my own as I understand that they are a part of your family

Karen is absolutely wonderful. She was communicative and took great care of our girl.
She was thoroughly engaged in the care of our dog and our home. She sent photos daily of Dakota, took her on many walks, kept in touch with us, and a happy and fulfilled dog greeted us when we got home. Her care of our pet and home gave us peace of mind to really enjoy our time away and know our home and pet was in the best of hands and care.

In my client's homes, I will make sure that they are fed according to their normal routine. Making sure that dogs get exercise is incredibly important and I will walk them at least once a day like I do my own. I have experience with medication management therefore if you have a pup that has special needs, this is within my comfort level and will ensure that they are provided what they need. I am attuned to the needs of animals and will make sure that they are receiving proper care and attention as well as being respectful of the needs of their owner.

I would appreciate knowing if your pup would be okay with 8 hours of me being away from the house for work. Additionally, if they do not get along with other dogs/animals/people. Medications, diagnoses, and unique food regimens would be appreciated.
A typical day
I typically will adjust my days to what the needs and routines of the animal are. Though some activities I include are walks, play time, cuddle-time (if they enjoy it). I personally enjoy hiking and would be happy to take them on an adventure!

Availability
I currently work a full-time job as a dietitian. I typically work from 7:30 am-3:30 pm (no more than 8 hours) with some ability for remote work. If I can, I utilize my ability to do some work from home to cut down my time to 7 hours though I cannot guarantee this.
