Pet care experience
Harry and I are retired now but we have had dogs and looked after friends dogs for the last 40 years. We just love going out to the beach, the woods or out in our campervan with our fury pals. We have looked after dogs in our house alongside our own dogs. Sadly we lost our beloved Lyra recently so looking for our dog fix!

Our seven month old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, Frank, has had a lovely two weeks with Karen and her husband Harry. During this time, Karen was very communicative, sending messages telling us what Frank had been doing and lots of pictures showing how at home he was and how he was enjoying his walks, cuddles, etc. which was extremely reassuring when we were away on holiday. We would have no hesitation in recommending Karen as an experienced and caring dog sitter and look forward to using her again in the future, safe in the knowledge that Frank could not be in safer or more caring hands.
Bobby had a fabulous time and I felt reassured he was being cared for like he would at home with regular updates. Will definitely use again and recommend
Wonderful care for Waffle while we were moving home, 2 days with an overnight stay. Waffle always rushes in to see Karen and Harry, she had some great adventures during her stay and is a very happy dog! Thank you Karen & Harry so much!
Karen and her family made our dog feel happy and and welcome. She was looked after well and was took in 2 amazing walks each day. She was provided with all of her toys and fed the right amount. We received regular pictures and messages to show how well are dog was doing.

We have a large terraced house close to the beach and other green spaces, perfect for regular walks. We have a cat but he comes and goes as he pleases and when we have dogs to stay we use a stair gate to give the cat some space. We have an enclosed small garden and adult children who also come and go who all love dogs.We are a flexible household!

We have looked after dogs who may not always be perfectly behaved and have had experience in managing this. Getting to know how you look after your dog with tips and what to avoid and what to reward would be great. We have a cat called Hal so need to know how your dog gets on with cats. They don't need to be pals we just need to know Hal will be safe.
A typical day
We love to go for a walk on the beach which is only a 5 minute walk away. We also go to Woodbury Common regularly and further afield from Exmouth in our VW campervan. We love Dartmoor and East Devon.

Availability
We are retired so are very flexible. We do have regular activities which can be moved if needed but no work commitments. We go out for daily walks as part of our routine.
