Pet care experience
Hi, I am Karen, I home-school our teen son Gavin and we have fostered dogs (puppies to seniors) for various rescues for the past 8 years, most recently for Brother wolf. In the past, I worked in the veterinary field as an assistant for 6 years and had a pet sitting service as well. I have loved animals all of my life, especially pups and cats. We have a social puppy, Jasper, who would love to play with your dog. We also have wooded trails in our neighborhood to explore. After some exercise we can snuggle up on the couch for some cuddles. Since we are at home most of the time you're pup won't be lonely and will get lots of attention. Boarding is offered Fri thru Tues in Blk Mtn(serving Asheville, Blk Mtn, Old Fort and Bat Cave) Wednesday thru Friday could be available as well, depending on the pet. Drop in service is in Asheville (serving Asheville) Wed.-Fri.

Karen was great! She emailed us several times a day with occasional pictures. She took him on several walks/hikes each day. Our guy came back happy, mellow, and seems like he got a bath (gotta ask if she really bathed him). Would definitely book again!
Karen is a good friend of mine and extremely trustworthy! I have witnessed her fostering many dogs and puppies from Brother Wolf, going out of her way time and time again for their needs. Her devotion, love and care for animals is extraordinary. She has a lot of experience working with all kinds of animals and temperaments. She is also really great with communication and gets back to others extremely quickly. Choose her and I bet she will exceed your expectations!
Karen is a total animal lover. She is extremely caring and compassionate with them. She has volunteered with one of our rescue organizations here in town called Brother Wolf to provide foster care for dogs. She has also rescued and provided extensive medical care to some stray animals whose owners were not findable. She is totally responsible about feeding and exercising her animals. They clearly love her and are devoted to her. For these reasons, I offer an unqualified recommendation of her for Rover.com.
My dogs adore Karen- she is caring, attentive and very patient. She has years of experience caring for animals as well as fostering them. Your pet will be well looked after for sure.

I would like to do a meet and greet with our pup. They also must get along wit kids 12 years old. I can only sit friendly pups. Smaller dogs 30 lbs and under for overnight/boarding. Knowing about any special needs your dog has would be great. We need to be sure your pup is up-to-date on all flea and tick treatments for the benefit of our future guests and our own pup. As well as a rabies vaccine. we do have stairs here, so your pup would need to be able to go up and down stairs or be small enough and amenable to being picked up.
A typical day
We can go walking in the woods and around the neighborhood. They can play with our pup, Jasper. We can play fetch and tug. Of course there is always nap time and cuddle time too.
