I grew up in Rochester, NY, graduated from Penn State University, have a Marketing and Sales professional background, and have lived in the DC Metro Area for 28 years. I have been dedicated to raising and caring for dogs for 42 years but also have cared for animals of all sorts (domestic, wild and stray). My two nicknames are "Dr. Doolittle" and "The Dog Whisperer" as I have an affinity for animals and they connect with me as well. Our dog, Ashley, passed away last year, after being a family member for almost 16 years. In her honor, we are starting "Ashley's Dog Resort". Ashley's Dog Resort business office is in Old Town, Alexandria. I offer exclusive and unique in-home dog boarding and care: - Heartfelt and nurturing care - Lots of play with the help of 2 teenage sons! - Delivery service: - I will pick up and deliver in Old Town & Del Ray at no charge if I am in the area, which I am frequently. - I will pick up and deliver in Alexandria for a fee of $20 each way to designated areas. - I will pick up and deliver door to door in DC Metro area for a fee TBD. - Cage-free - Outdoor activities & Toys - 2 walks per day (weather permitting) - In-door free-range in large home - Visits to dog parks & dog friendly establishments (with owner's approval) - Swims in the Potomac in our backyard (with owner's approval) - Insured
