We love our dog-child so much her name's on the door! This home is filled with love, nourishment and care for dogs. Our dog child, Kiki, is a shy and gentle Havanese that brings a calming energy to the dogs around her. We'd like to think we do the same :) We live in the center of Amsterdam, under the gorgeous tower of the Westerkerk. Kiki gets one long walk a day (approx. 5Km) and several short walks around the block. She also has access to our tiny and private city garden at the back of the house. All of Kiki's friends who stay with us will enjoy the same privileges. We are open to having one or two dogs from the same family and Kiki is looking forward to making new friends. They are the best! Bobbie is extremely excited to visit them and I think he adores Kiki. Kiki is a wiser dog and teaches Bobbie a lot. I'm very greatfull that they are willing to host Bobbie once a week.
It was fantastic to have Karan, Mini and Kiki host Nico for us. They are so welcoming and wonderful. Beautiful and peaceful home environment with dog friendly everything!! ?. Thank you so much for the pictures and video of Nico during his stay, it was a great experience all around. We will definitely contact Karan and his beautiful family again to host Nico for us.

Meal timings, allergies, walk requirements and any special needs. It would be nice if your dog is friendly with other smaller dogs - Kiki is our gentle Havanese and it is important that she not feel threatened when we host your dog(s).
A typical day
I am describing a typical day with our Havanese Kiki: At 6:00 AM a short morning walk around the block followed by breakfast. Then access to the garden for fresh air and relief. A longer 1 hour walk at around noon. this is followed by some sleep and games/puzzles at home. Walks every 2-4 hours and frequent access to our back/private garden. Dinner at 6 PM followed by a walk around the block - play fetch to release all the excitement and energy for a relaxed evening. Late night walk around the block at around 10 PM before turning in for bed. Every now and then Kiki gets comfortable with us on the beanbag to catch a late night movie and if we are awake late she gets to go for quick relief in the garden before we turn off the lights.
