Hi there, our names are Kara & Cooper. We have both grown up on farms with dogs/horses/cats etc. our whole lives. I (Kara) has interned/worked at the Sedgwick County Zoo, and has also worked in dog grooming/bathing. I now work from home as a data analyst with a flexible schedule, so it is never a problem to stop to attend to your pet or let them keep me company while I work. Cooper has worked in multiple pet shops and is an expert in reptile/amphibian care. Please inquire if you require any reptile/amphibian care. He has also owned many dogs as well and used to show pigs/cows in 4H as a kid. We live in a quaint house with our 2 younger medium sized dogs. They are both neutered/vaccinated and love playing with other dogs. Our yard and house are both split into 2 spaces via fence/large baby gate if your dog needs to be alone. We have a doggy door that fits medium/larger dogs for constant outdoor access if you wish. It can also be closed off. We have plenty of trees for shade, and also a doggy shallow pool can be filled if desired. Since I work from home I am able to attend to puppies/senior/medicine/special needs. I have extensive experience with puppies and also very elderly dogs of any size.I cared passionately for my older 130 pound Great Pyrenees from his puppyhood to his senior years.. I did anything and everything for him. This was not limited to ramps added on to the house, lux orthopedic beds, lifting assistance, homemade/quality kibble combo diet, and chiropractic/water/laser therapies. I also still have the giant wagon I used to take him for walks after he struggled with mobility, and I'd gladly do it for your dog as well. I say all that as an example to my commitment to an animals' care. Animals have such pure spirits and deserve everything we can give them. I'd love to care for your elderly dog or keep up on training for your new puppy. Ask me about any special needs or extra assistance your pet needs; odds are I have experience with it and still have the equipment to keep your pet comfortable (ramps, giant orthopedic, lifting belly belts, training treats, potty pads, etc.). We look forward to meeting you! I am 100% available for pick up/drop offs and caring for your pet as I work from home. I do work full time, but my time is flexible and I do not have many meetings. Cooper is up 5-6am for work (and pet check ins), and is home in the evenings with me. Our weekends can be busy, but we are never gone for more than a few hours. We also do not mind requests for your pet to never be left alone. Even though we have a spacious yard, we also enjoy walking the dogs and live in a very walkable safe neighborhood. Firstly, we live 3 blocks from our trusted vet if your dog would ever need it. Otherwise, our home is primarily wood floors, but my large office is carpeted and available if needed as well. We have a high metal baby gate separating our living room/office from the rest of the house. Our back yard is also split into 2 spaces with a gate connecting them (this is from expanding our fenced in yard). Because of these splits, I can accommodate dogs that need to be separated, or that would like to play with our 2 dogs. I can also change this up as needed throughout the day and of course all areas have water/food sources. Your dog is welcome to use the doggy door to choose when it wants to be outside/inside. This would probably not accommodate a dog larger than 80 pounds. We don't crate our dogs, but we have an xl crate available to use if desired. We also have 3 large dog beds that range from a cot to plush thick orthopedic. Our dogs are a 1ish year old border collie/shepherd mix named Link, and a 2 year old Chesapeake bay retriever, Rufus (looks like a chocolate lab). Rufus loves to play in water, and they both love to play any fetch game or with each other. I am usually up from 8am-midnight, and Cooper is up 5/6am-10pm. Together, one of us will always be up with your pet except between the hours midnight-5am (unless special needs).
