Kara P.
Caring pet sitter and Veterinary Nurse
Pet care experience
I am a veterinary nurse who has worked in practice for 6 years, looking after people’s pets as if they were my own. I foster cats and kittens for the RSPCA in my spare time as well as looking after my dog, cat and rabbits at home! I have done house visits and stays for friends and family’s pets for many years and looked after many types of animals. Due to my new job I have more time off which I wanted to utilise by doing something I love!
Reviews
Kara has been absolutely brilliant looking after our Charlie (cat) and Hollie (rabbit). Both very well looked after and received regular photos and reports. Returned home to happy pets. Will definitely book Kara again.
Kara was on time everyday and sent regular updates during each visit. She gave Poppy lots of attention and play time but also let her have a nap when she was tired! It was so reassuring to know Kara was with her and looking after her so well, we really appreciate her time and will definitely ask Kara to come again soon.
Thanks again Kara. So happy to know Buddy & Holly in good hands.
Thanks so much Kara for keeping him company, I can see he had a lovely time! Thanks for the lovely photos too. We won’t hesitate to ask you back x

I would be able to do house visits for as long as you would like which can include feeding, grooming, administering medication and lots of play and fuss! I can take dogs on walks if wanted but if not playtime in the garden would be done. When I’m with your pet I will make sure they get the attention they deserve and are use to as I know how important companionship is to pets!
Information Kara P. would like to know about your pet
I would need to know about any behavioural concerns so I would know how to approach them. If they are anxious or aggressive with new people. Whether they are dog friendly would help and what their dogs idea of playing is.
A typical day
Mental stimulation is so important for dogs so I will play with them, encourage them to engage with me by doing tricks and if the owner is happy I could make food puzzles to help tire them out! On dog walks I would take them where you’re happy for me to. Long walks around fields or shorter ones around your estate. Cats will receive just as much care whether that being a lots of fuss, cuddles and playtime! If you have a shy and timid cat I will adapt to them.
