Pet care experience
I'm a Malamute mama, former pup foster parent (one with intense behaviors, one completely blind, one senior), and have had successful litter experience with our current floof balls. Because of this, I have experience in caring for many dog types, as well as raising healthy puppies. I provide an animal-friendly environment for dogs of all ages, with a focus on love and safety. From the littlest to biggest of fur babies, rest assured that I will dedicate some time in pawsitively reinforcing good behaviors while keeping a close eye on them!

We are so grateful for Kara. We just took the longest vacation in years because we felt so comfortable leaving our girls with her. I felt like I could really relax. They have a great time with her dogs. Kara sent so many cute photos.
Kara was very communicative with how Cash was doing! I didn't feel as though I had anything to worry about with him in her care.
Kara was wonderful! She kept me updated on Archie all weekend and he came home tired and happy!! 😊😊

I have a 1000-Sq. Ft. home with a large fenced-in backyard that your fur babies can access at any time. During the summer, I will ALWAYS be with your pupper to ensure feeding/potty schedules are adhered to, and play can take place. We have two of the sweetest Alaskan Malamutes here to keep your pup company, but we can always separate them if you are not comfortable with their size/breed/etc., or if there are conditions with your pup that require separation. We have a metal-reinforced baby gate, as well as an X-large kennel, to assist in this. For walking, we have medium/large harnesses and hefty paracord leashes, as well as a Herm. Sprenger-type prong collar, to make the job easier.

Please let me know if you have a dog with special needs (special diet, behaviors, medications, illness, incontinence-type concerns, etc.), or if your pup requires separation from males/females/large dogs/male humans/etc. We strive to ensure safety and comfort for not only your fur baby, but ours as well. We take these special needs very seriously and want to be prepared for them prior to your dog's visit.
A typical day
With our large backyard, we can create a fun playground to stimulate your pup! We live within walking distance to a small park in Joplin, as well. Our Mals will also make sure your doggo goes home tired from an iditarod's-worth of running!

I am a teacher, so I have a ton of free time during the summer. During the school year, the pet-care I can provide will be restricted to evenings, weekends, and Mondays.
